Mind-blowing stats for the Top 100 Players of 2016: 40-31
The "Top 100 Players of 2016" countdown continues. See the mind-blowing stats that prove why these guys made the list.

Ndamukong Suh has caused a lot of quarterback chaos from the defensive tackle position. Here's some perspective. Since 2010, there are 12 players who have amassed 100 or more QB hits. Every single one of those players play defensive end or outside linebacker except one: Ndamukong Suh.
Suh has 118 QB hits, which are 22 more than the next closest defensive tackle, Geno Atkins.

Muhammad Wilkerson has been one of the most important players on the Jets defense since joining the team in 2011. He ranks first on the team in sacks (36.5), QB hits (85) and forced fumbles (9) in that span.
His production has been so good, that his sack total ranks 3rd in Jets history through a player's first 5 seasons. The only two players with more are John Abraham (43.0) and Shaun Ellis (41.0).

Greg Olsen had a monster year posting a career-high in receiving yards (1,104) and recording his 2nd-most receptions (77) in a season. Olsen, who led the Panthers in both categories, joined an exclusive list last season.
He became the 4th tight end in NFL history to lead his team in both receptions and receiving yards in a season in which his team made the Super Bowl. Unfortunately for Olsen, he was the only one of the group who lost in the big game as Shannon Sharpe (2000), Mark Bavaro (1986) and Todd Christensen (1983) all hoisted the Lombardi Trophy.

Marshal Yanda may not get all the credit he deserves, but he should. Yanda is just 1 of 5 players in Ravens history who has been named to at least 5 Pro Bowls and earned 2 First-Team All Pro selections. The others? Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Haloti Ngata and hall of famer Jonathan Ogden.

DeMarcus Ware has established himself as one of the great sack-masters in NFL history. In 11 NFL seasons, Ware has recorded 134.5 career sacks, which is 11th on the all-time list. However through a player's first 11 seasons, only hall of famer, Reggie White (157.0), has more sacks than Ware.

Andy Dalton's efficiency was through the roof last season. His TD-INT ratio was a career-high 3.57, which was significantly higher than his previous best (1.69) done in 2012. But it was his increase in passer rating that showcased just how much better he got from 2014 to 2015.
Dalton raised his passer rating 22.7 points between 2014 (83.5) and 2015 (106.2). That represented the largest jump among all quarterbacks with 20+ starts over the last 2 seasons.

Aqib Talib has been playing cornerback at a high level ever since he entered the league in 2008. In that span, Talib has picked off 30 passes, the most among any active player in the NFL. The only player with more interceptions is recently-retired Charles Woodson (36) who will be heading to Canton, Ohio in the near future.

In 2015, Doug Martin had a great season posting 1,402 rushing yards which were just 83 shy of Adrian Peterson for the league-lead in rushing. For Martin, it was his 2nd season of 1,400-plus rush yards (also did so in 2012) making him the first Buccaneers player to hit that rushing total in more than one season.
And since 2012, Martin and Peterson are the only two running backs in the NFL who have 2 seasons of 1,400 or more rushing yards.

Kam Chancellor is a key member of the Legion of Boom and the vaunted Seahawks defense. But how good has their defense really been? Seattle led the NFL in scoring defense in each of the last 4 seasons. The only other team to lead the NFL in scoring defense in 4-straight seasons is the 1953-1957 Cleveland Browns who did so in 5 straight seasons.

Allen Robinson put himself on the map last season, ranking 6th in the NFL in receiving yards (1,400) and tied Doug Baldwin and Brandon Marshall for first in receiving TD (14).
At 22 years old, Robinson became 1 of 3 players to catch 14+ touchdowns in a season at age 22 or younger. The others were Randy Moss who had 17 in 1998 (age 21) and Rob Gronkowski who had 17 in 2011 (age 22).
