Aaron Rodgers is averaging 406.5 passing yards per game through two games, with seven touchdowns and one interception. Against the Washington Redskins in Week 2, Rodgers threw for 335 yards in the first half alone. Sunday, he faces a Bengals defense that has gone 16 consecutive games without allowing a 300-yard passer -- the longest such active streak in the NFL.

One piece of good news for the 0-2 Buccaneers: They are the first team since 1982 (when sacks became a statistic) to have three players with at least one sack and one interception in its first two games. Lavonte David (2.5 sacks, one interception), Mason Foster (2.0 sacks, one interception), and Dekoda Watson (1.0 sack, one interception) are charter members of this most exclusive club.

During the San Francisco 49ers' Week 2 drubbing at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Colin Kaepernick went 13-of-28 passing for 127 yards, threw three interceptions and amassed a 20.1 passer rating. For Kaepernick, it was the first game of his career with multiple turnovers. It also was the worst passer rating for a 49ers quarterback since Alex Smith had an 8.5 rating in Week 5 of 2005 -- and the worst passer rating for any quarterback in 2013, so far. This, of course, was one week after Kaepernick set career highs in passing yards (412), completions (27) and attempts (39) in Week 1 versus the Green Bay Packers.

Philip Rivers might be back to the Philip Rivers of old. In Week 2 at Philadelphia, he went 36-of-47 passing for 419 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions to beat Michael Vick's Eagles, 33-30. The last Charger to throw for more than 400 yards, more than three touchdowns and no interceptions in a game was Dan Fouts. Fouts threw for 444 yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions and to beat Joe Montana's San Francisco 49ers, 41-37, in 1982.

Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos are the seventh team in the Super Bowl era to score more than 40 points in each of their first two games. Of the six previous teams to accomplish this feat, three missed the playoffs (1972 New York Jets, 1975 Washington Redskins, 2001 Indianapolis Colts), one lost in the AFL Championship Game (1968 Oakland Raiders) and two won the Super Bowl (1971 Dallas Cowboys and 2009 New Orleans Saints).

Geno Smith's three interceptions in the fourth quarter against the New England Patriots in Week 2 were the most by any rookie quarterback in the fourth quarter of either of his first two starts since 1991.

During the Arizona Cardinals' Week 2 victory against the Detroit Lions, cornerback Patrick Peterson did something that not even Deion Sanders can brag about. Peterson caught a 17-yard pass from Carson Palmer and completed a 17-yard pass to Kerry Taylor. Only three teams that started 0-3 since 1990 went on to make the playoffs: 1998 Buffalo Bills (finished 10-6), 1995 Detroit Lions (finished 10-6) and 1992 San Diego Chargers (finished 11-5).
