What may have left a bigger impression on Atlanta is Newton's running, as he rushed for 85+ yards in both games. His two games versus the Falcons last year are the two best rushing performances of his career. In the Week 4 loss at the Falcons, Newton rushed for 86 yards. In a Week 14 win at home, he rushed for 116 yards – a career high.

There have been 14 individual 400-yard passing performances this season, already the third-most in any NFL season. The most was 18 in 2011.

The Thursday Night Football matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins features the last two teams to appear on the HBO series "Hard Knocks" during training camp. Of the seven teams who have completed seasons after appearing on the program, three went on to make the Playoffs: the 2001 Ravens, the 2009 Bengals and the 2010 Jets.

Terrelle Pryor has rushed for 100+ yards in two games this season. With his next 100+ yard rushing game, Pryor will tie Michael Vick's NFL record for most 100+ yard rushing games in a season by a quarterback. Vick accomplished the feat in both 2004 and 2006 with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears on Monday night. Aaron Rodgers is 0-2 vs. Bears on Monday nights, but 8-0 vs the Bears on all other days. Rodgers has won all seven games vs. Chicago on Sundays, as well as his only Thursday night matchup against the Bears in 2012. Rodgers' passer rating on Mondays against the Bears is 90.2. That is 16.2 points lower than it is on all other days of the week.

Rex Ryan is undefeated against Rob Ryan as both a coordinator and head coach (4-0). As defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, Rex beat Rob in 2006 and 2008, when his brother was defensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders. With his five touchdown performance against Buffalo in Week 8, Drew Brees recorded his 8th game with 5+ TDs. Brees now sits in first place on the all-time list of most games with 5+ TD Passes, one game ahead of Peyton Manning. Dan Marino had six such games in his career. Perhaps most impressively: In six of Brees' eight games with 5+ TD passes, he did not throw an interception.

Something's gotta give when the Buffalo Bills host the K.C. Chiefs on Sunday. The Chiefs are the first team since 1977 Falcons to hold opponents to 17 points-or-fewer in their first eight games of a season. The Bills have scored at least 17 points in every game this season. Should the Chiefs keep the Bills to 17 points or less and win, they will be the first team since 1934 to win nine straight games to start the season while holding their opponent to 17 points-or-less, accomplished that year by both the Bears (13 straight) and Lions (10 straight).

On Sunday, Tom Brady will try to snap a streak of four straight games with a passer rating under 75. In 16 games last season, Brady only had three games with a passer rating under 75. Prior to this streak of four games, Brady had a passer rating below 75 in four of his previous 47 games.

Tom Brady's completion percentage (55.7 percent), passer rating (74.9) and yards/attempt (5.94) are the lowest they have ever been through the first eight starts of the season.
