Marcus Mariota and Baker Mayfield may be more similar than you think. Of the seven current Heisman-winning QBs in the league, Mayfield (93.7) and Mariota (89.4) have the two highest career passer ratings as pros. Both Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury are looking to inject some life into a Cardinals offense that averaged just 56.4 offensive plays per game last year (second-lowest in NFL).

Although Todd Gurley leads the NFL in both touches and scrimmage yards since he entered the league in 2015, Christian McCaffrey has been even more essential to the Panthers. In 2018, McCaffrey became the sixth player in NFL history to lead his team outright in carries, rushing yards, rushing TDs, receptions, receiving yards, and receiving TD over a full season.

Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel Elliott may very well be the best running backs in the NFL. When these two meet it will mark only the third time since the 1970 merger that the NFL leaders in scrimmage yards in the prior season compete in Week 1 (Adrian Peterson vs Calvin Johnson in 2013, Roger Craig vs Eric Dickerson in 1989). It's also the first time since the merger the NFL's reigning top two rushers meet in Week 1.
