Mind-boggling stats for 2019 Week 7
Russell Wilson is breaking records in passing rates, Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram's Ravens are on pace to be the first team to finish a season with 200+ rushing YPG since 1977 and Ezekiel Elliott is unstoppable in rushing YPG vs. the Eagles. See what the numbers have to say with these mind-boggling stats for Week 7.

Russell Wilson's passer rating of 124.7 is 12.8 points higher than the next-best QB this season (Patrick Mahomes, 111.9). Since 1975, there have been seven instances of a highest-rated passer finishing a season with a passer rating at least 10 points higher than the next-highest rated passer. That list includes three Hall of Famers — Kurt Warner, Joe Montana & Steve Young (who accomplished the feat twice) — as well as three likely future Hall of Famers (Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers & Peyton Manning). Oh, and in all seven of those seasons, the QB with the highest passer rating was crowned NFL MVP.

It's no secret that the Lamar Jackson-era Ravens love the ground game, but just how much success have they been having? Jackson, Mark Ingram and company have combined to rush for 205.0 yards per game, putting the Ravens on pace to be the first team to finish a season with 200+ rush YPG since the 1977 Bears, led by Hall of Famer Walter Payton. And it's not just volume. As a team, the Ravens are averaging 5.52 yards per carry this season, which is on pace to break the Super Bowl-era record of 5.51 held by the 1997 Lions, led by 2,000-yard rusher Barry Sanders.

Something has to give when Ezekiel Elliott and the Eagles defense meet in Sunday night's first-place showdown in the NFC East. Since Elliott was drafted in 2016, the Cowboys are 4-0 against the Eagles when Elliott plays, and 0-2 when he does not. Elliott has averaged 115.8 rush YPG in his career vs. the Eagles, the most by any player in the Super Bowl era (min. 4 games). But the unstoppable Elliott will meet an immovable force in the Philadelphia defense. So far this season, Philly has held its opponents' primary ball-carrier to a minuscule 2.1 yards per carry and 30.2 rushing yards per game.

Le'Veon Bell is ready for some football. In five career MNF games, Bell has averaged 161.0 scrimmage yards per game, the highest mark in MNF history (min. 5 games). However, Bell may face his toughest MNF challenge to date against the vaunted Patriots defense.

The Patriots are allowing 87.0 scrimmage YPG to opposing RBs, the second-lowest mark in the NFL this season. And speaking of Bill Belichick's defense, they are also allowing only 8.0 points per game, on pace to set a Super Bowl-era record. Only problem, there? Five teams in the Super Bowl era have finished a season allowing fewer than 10 PPG, and none of those five have gone on to win the Super Bowl.

Traveling to Chicago to face the elite Bears defense with a backup QB sounds like a daunting task for the Saints, who have scored 10.5 fewer PPG in Teddy Bridgewater's five starts than Drew Brees' 17 starts since last season. But no matter who's throwing the ball, the home team will have its hands full with Michael Thomas. Thomas ranks second in the NFL with 632 receiving yards, and he accounts for 41.4 pct of his team's receiving yards, the highest percentage in the league (TB's Chris Godwin is 2nd, at 37.4 pct). Thomas already has 53 receptions through 6 games, which is tied for the second-highest such mark in the Super Bowl era with Keenan Allen in 2015 and ... himself in 2018.

Even after two "down" games, Patrick Mahomes is on pace for 5,610 passing yards, which would comfortably break Peyton Manning's record of 5,477. On the all-time list, Mahomes ranks first in pass YPG, passer rating, pass TD/game, and TD-INT ratio (min. 500 attempts). Mahomes has more TD passes (64) in his 23 career games than all Broncos QBs collectively in the 54 games since Manning retired (63). In fact, Mahomes' 64 touchdowns would already put him on the top 10 career pass TD lists for all 32 active NFL franchises.

The Bills' 4-1 record hasn't exactly come via the most difficult path — their four wins have come against opponents with a combined 5-18 record in 2019. And things aren't getting any tougher. Starting with this week's matchup vs. the 0-5 Dolphins, the Bills will play only two of their remaining 11 games against teams currently above .500 (Ravens, Patriots). If all the Bills' opponents maintain their current paces, the Bills will finish the season with only three games against teams with winning records, which would tie the sixth-fewest such games for any team since the NFL moved to a 16-game schedule in 1978.

Though the Falcons appear out of the playoff race at 1-5, you wouldn't know it from the numbers Matt Ryan is putting up. The 12-year veteran is on pace for career highs in comp pct (72.1) and passing yards per game (335.2), and his 15 passing touchdowns lead the NFL in 2019. Ryan has thrown for 300+ yards in each of his first six games of the season, joining Hall of Famers Kurt Warner (2000) and Steve Young (1998) as the only three players in NFL history to do so. On the opposite sideline, Jared Goff's passer rating has dipped by an alarming 20.3 points from 2018 to 2019, a drop-off only outdone by Baker Mayfield's -27.7 points among QBs with 100+ pass attempts in each season.
