Mind-Boggling Stats: NFL Training Camp 2018
The Ravens and Bears have kicked off training camp ahead of their Hall of Fame Game matchup. While you're waiting for the rest of the NFL to report for training camp, check out these mind-boggling stats.

Baker Mayfield will be the sixth Browns quarterback drafted in the first round to attend training camp in franchise history. The previous five quarterbacks – Johnny Manziel, Brandon Weeden, Brady Quinn, Tim Couch and Mike Phipps – went 7-25 in their rookie seasons.

As the third overall pick in the 2018 draft, Sam Darnold is the highest-drafted Jets quarterback to attend training camp since Joe Namath, who went first overall in 1965. Namath made his first of five Pro Bowls in his rookie season.

After being drafted seventh overall, Josh Allen is the highest-drafted Buffalo Bills quarterback to attend training camp in franchise history. The Bills have drafted seven quarterbacks since Jim Kelly retired, and none of them have posted a winning record with the team.

Tom Brady will be attending his 19th training camp with the New England Patriots. He is the longest tenured player in the NFL among non-kickers. For perspective, Jets quarterback Sam Darnold was 3 years old when Brady participated in his first training camp in 2000.

Aaron Rodgers will not have Jordy Nelson at training camp for the first time since he took over as the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback in 2008. Nelson, who was drafted in 2008, was released and signed with the Oakland Raiders this offseason.

Josh McCown enters his second training camp with the New York Jets. The Jets are McCown's eighth team, which is the most different teams among all active players. He has played for the Jets, the Cleveland Browns, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Chicago Bears, the Carolina Panthers, the Oakland Raiders, the Detroit Lions and the Arizona Cardinals.

With Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, the Los Angeles Rams enter training camp with four All-Pros on their defense. It is the only team in the NFL that can make that distinction.

The Oakland Raiders will have Jon Gruden back on the team for training camp for the first time since 2001. The 17-year span is the largest gap of any head coach returning to his former team in NFL history.

The Philadelphia Eagles enter training camp as the defending Super Bowl champions for the first time in team history. They'll try to become the first team to repeat as champions since the 2003-04 Patriots.

The Seattle Seahawks open training camp without the Legion of Boom for the first time since the unit was formed in 2011. Richard Sherman left for the 49ers and Kam Chancellor's status is still unknown.

Nearly 66 percent of NFL teams will be "staying home" for training camp, meaning camp is at their respective practice facility, home stadium or at a site within 10 miles of their team headquarters. This is tied with 2017 as the highest percentage since 2000.

The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers hold the longest active NFL training camp tenures. The Packers will hold their 61st consecutive camp at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. The Steelers will train at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania for the 53rd straight season.
