Mind-boggling stats: Wild Card Weekend
The playoffs are set and history will be made this Wild Card Weekend. The number one rushing offense and the individual rushing leader will face off as the Seahawks take on Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys, Matt Nagy is hoping to continue building a case for the NFL's coach of the year, and J.J Watt and Andrew Luck will go head-to-head. Take a look at these mind-boggling stats and more for this Wild Card Weekend.

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? We may find out Saturday afternoon, when J.J. Watt meets Andrew Luck for the ninth time in their respective careers. Watt racked up the second-most sacks in the NFL this season (16.0) and has sacked Luck more than any other player in the NFL (11.0). But Luck has stayed squeaky clean in 2018, taking only 1.13 sacks/game — best in the NFL.

Matt Nagy could be building a case for the NFL's coach of the year, winning the most games by a Bears head coach in his first season (12) in franchise history. However, finding success in the postseason may be more difficult to come by: over the last 10 seasons, eight of the 13 first-year head coaches to make the postseason lost in the Wild Card Round.

Is this the season Philip Rivers finally gets over the hump and into the Super Bowl? Rivers has the most career completions (4,518), pass yards (54,656), and pass TD (374) of any quarterback to never make a Super Bowl appearance.

Nick Foles' late-season heroics are reaching mythical proportions. Foles owns the highest postseason comp pct (71.9) and passer rating (113.2) among QBs with 125+ attempts in the Super Bowl era. He has posted a passer rating of 100.0 or higher in each of his first four career playoff starts (only player in Super Bowl era to do so).

The Seahawks had the number one rush offense in the NFL this season (160.0 rush YPG), while Ezekiel Elliott won the individual rushing title with 1,434 rushing yards. This will be the third playoff game in the Super Bowl era to feature the number one rush offense vs the individual rushing leader from that season. In each of the first two instances, Hall of Fame running backs and individual rushing champions Earl Campbell (1978 Divisional Round vs Patriots) and Emmitt Smith (Super Bowl XXVII vs the Bills) led their teams to wins.

The Chargers will travel more than 2,300 miles to Baltimore for their Wild Card matchup Sunday. The good news? Philip Rivers is 3-0 in games that started at 1PM ET this season.

Lamar Jackson has been the ultimate third-down runner this season. Jackson, who has only started seven games, leads all NFL players in third-down carries (32) and rush yards (212). The only player to have more rushing first downs on third down than Jackson (17) was Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (19).

Not only did Amari Cooper average the most receiving YPG (80.6) and score the most receiving TD (6, tied) by a player after a midseason team change since 1970, but he also led the Cowboys in receiving yards (725) and receiving TD (6) this season despite only playing nine games with the team. The only player to lead his team in receiving yards and receiving TD while playing fewer games than Cooper was NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens who led the Eagles in both during the 2005 season despite playing only seven games.
