New York Jets-New England Patriots rivalry
The Patriots and Jets rivalry has turned up the heat a little bit during the offseason as Darrelle Revis has willfully chosen the Patriots Way over the Jet Way. Although, you could reason the Jets are merely in the jet wash of the Patriots and Broncos arms race. But let's take a look at some of the biggest shots fired in recent years.

The Patriots believe the Jets tampered to get coach Bill Parcells, who resigned from New England after Super Bowl XXXI. The Jets forfeited multiple draft picks in 1997, 1998 and 1999 as compensation. Parcells would take the Jets to the 1998 AFC Championship Game. (AP Photo/Tony Gutierrez)

The Jets present an offer sheet to Patriots running back Curtis Martin to switch teams after the 1997 season. In the contract was a "poison pill" that called for the Patriots to give Martin unrestricted free agency the following year if the Patriots matched the offer. Bill Belichick agreed to take over the Jets after Parcells resigned after the 1999 season. But Belichick's welcome press conference to the Jets turned into a bizarre resignation as he instead chose to go with the Patriots. This time, it was the Patriots who had to give up compensation for the coach. (AP Photo/Steven Senne)

The Jets knock Drew Bledsoe out during the team's Week 2 meeting. The Patriots then turn things over to second-year quarterback Tom Brady. We all know how this ends, right? (AP Photo/Bill Kostroun)

When the Jets hire Patriots assistant Eric Mangini, the former defensive coordinator is locked out of Gillette Stadium. I wonder if Mangini would hold a grudge for this? (AP Photo/Robert E. Klein)

Mangini accuses the Patriots of using a camera on the sidelines to tape defensive signals. Belichick was fined $500K and the Patriots had to pay $250K. The Patriots also had to forfeit draft picks, too. And let's just say handshakes between the teacher and former pupil were a little awkward after that. (AP Photo/Winslow Townson)

Rex Ryan immediately makes a name for himself when he became coach of the Jets in 2009. Most notably, Ryan said he wasn't there to "kiss the rings" of coach Belichick. (AP Photo/Mike Derer)

Wes Welker is grounded by coach Belichick when he poked fun at Ryan during a press conference in the lead up to the two teams' 2010 playoff matchup. Welker just recently opened up about playing under the Belichick regime. (AP Photo/Gretchen Ertl)

Conversely, cornerback Antonio Cromartie was not disciplined by Ryan when he referred to Tom Brady as an (expletive). The Jets won, 28-21, and proceeded to celebrate on the field like they had just won the Super Bowl. For most Jets fans, this was about as close as the team has come to the Super Bowl in a while, so it makes sense. (Associated Press)

The Patriots signed former Jets QB Tim Tebow. Coach Belichick has a long history with former University of Florida coach, Urban Meyer and offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, who drafted Tebow in Denver. Unfortunately, the relationship didn't last. Tebow was cut before the season. (AP Photo/Rich Schultz)

You might want to avert your eyes on this one, Jets fans. The next time Revis makes an interception during a Jets/Patriots game, he's going to be wearing the red, white and blue of New England. (AP Photo/Frank Franklin II)
