Next Gen Stats for Week 10
Wide receivers accounted for 4 of the top 5 speeds on their way to the end zone in Week 10. Only one running back was able to crack the list this week. See who it was, and more in this week's Next Gen Stats.

The fastest ball carriers on their way to the end zone during Week 10 all hit at least 21 mph: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (21.76 mph), Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (21.33), Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (21.17), Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant (21.09) and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham (21.09).

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith had the top two speeds among quarterbacks in Week 10 (19.55, 19.41), followed by Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco (5) (19.02), New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (18.92), and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (18.43).

Entering the week Allen Robinson was the most efficient receiver in the league (1.49 yards run per receiving yard gained). Expected to have a big day against a weak Ravens secondary, Robinson was used more in the short game as he averaged 2.51 yards run per receiving yard gained including two wide receiver screens and a drag route.

Aaron Rodgers continues to work without explosive weapons in the passing game. The Packers didn't have a single receiver record a top-50 speed as ball carrier among wide receivers. Richard Rodgers' top speed (14.54 mph) was 46th among tight ends.

After a series of big weeks, Lamar Miller struggled on the ground against the Eagles' run defense. He needed to run 240 yards to gain 48, while rookie Jay Ajayi covered 129 yards to gain 48 on just six carries.

Johnny Manziel showed better pocket presence against the Steelers than the previous week against Cincinnati. He averaged 13.09 yards per drop back after being at 19.06 last week.

Not known for its run defense, Chicago kept Todd Gurley in check the entire game. His longest carry went for eight yards and his max speed with the ball was 15.73 mph on 15 touches.

DeSean Jackson made an immediate impact in his second game back from injury, recording a max speed of 19.78 mph on a 42-yard pass from Kirk Cousins.

What Charcandrick West struggled to accomplish on the ground he instead did through the air. West averaged running 4.67 yards per rushing yard gained and 2.9 yards per carry compared to running 1.71 yards per receiving yard gained and averaging 30.7 yards per reception.

As expected, Bill Belichick packed it in in the team's first game since Dion Lewis' season-ending injury. New England ran just 21 of 68 plays with three receivers, further influenced by the loss of Julian Edelman in the first quarter. In the middle two quarters of the game, the Patriots ran just four of 26 plays in "11". It wasn't until the final drive of the game that Belichick was forced to trust Aaron Dobson.
