Next Gen Stats for Week 13
Five wide receivers came in with top speeds of over 21 mph during Week 13. Find out who was breaking running like the wind and more with this week's Next Gen stats.

Five wide receivers hold the fastest speeds through Week 13: Buffalo Bills, Sammy Watkins: 21.78 mph, Arizona Cardinals, John Brown: 21.74 mph, New York Giants, Odell Beckham Jr.: 21.66 mph, Seattle Seahawks, Doug Baldwin: 21.52 mph, St. Louis Rams, Tavon Austin: 21.50 mph.

Aaron Rodgers' 17-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the fastest speed as ball carrier by any player on a non-special teams play in the game.

Torrey Smith hit 20.05 mph on his 71-yard walk-off touchdown catch in overtime, his fastest since hitting 21.74 mph on a 76-yard bomb in Week 6. His fastest speed with the ball in between was 17.35 mph in Week 12. Bears safety Adrian Amos passed off coverage to Chris Prosinski, who was 8.09 yards from Smith and moving 10.60 mph when Smith crossed midfield running 18.55 mph.

Sammy Watkins got loose down the field for the second week in a row. He had a pair of 53-yard receptions, the first hitting 21.78 mph which is tied for the fastest speed by a wide receiver on a catch in the last 3 weeks. He now has 3 of the 50 fastest speeds by a wide receiver on a reception in the last 2 weeks. Only Jeremy Maclin has as many.

A.J. Green had one of the most efficient downfield days of any receiver this season catching five passes for 128 yards and a touchdown, covering 1.23 yards of distance per receiving yard gained. He already had the 3rd-lowest season average entering Week 13, and it dropped from 1.60 to 1.55.

Seattle held Adrian Peterson to 18 yards on 8 attempts. He had little room to run, needing to travel 121 yards per rushing yard gained (6.7 average). Last week against Atlanta his distance traveled per rushing yard gained was 3.4 as he totaled 158 rushing yards.

Jameis Winston continues to make plays with his legs, just not very quickly. He scored his fifth rushing touchdown of the season -- second-most among quarterbacks -- but reached just 14.71 mph on the scramble. The lumbering Tom Brady hit 14.75 mph on a 12-yard scramble and 16.96 mph on a 36-yard trick play reception.

Philadelphia needed contributions from every phase of the game to beat New England, getting two special teams and one defensive touchdown. Darren Sproles' punt return (18.92 mph) and Najeh Goode's blocked punt return (17.88 mph) were the 6th- and 7th-fastest on the day, while Malcolm Jenkins' 99-yard interception return (19.53 mph) was the 2nd-fastest speed on a turnover.

One week after covering just 7.09 yards per drop back, Cam Newton again commanded the pocket with a 9.03 average drop back distance. Drew Brees also had a big game in this shootout and averaged just 9.26 yards per drop back, well below his 11.71 season average entering the week.
