Jordan Reed entered Week 16 covering an average of 2.37 yards per receiving yard gained. Against Philadelphia he was at 1.82 on his big day. Rob Gronkowski led all tight ends entering the week at 1.80.

Entering Week 16, Brandon Marshall had just 20 catches from the slot for 203 yards and 3 touchdowns in 14 games. Against New England, Marshall had 4 catches for 63 yards and a 33-yard touchdown from the slot.

Mike Gillislee almost matched Darren McFadden's production (99 rushing yards) for the day with 93 rushing yards of his own despite participating in only 34% of the Bills' plays. By contrast, McFadden was in on 70% of the Cowboys' plays and out-carried Gillislee 19 to 9. Gillislee was highly efficient in racking up those yards with a distance covered per yard gained average of 2.36.

Marcus Peters added to his Defensive Rookie of the Year resume with his 8th interception of the season. He continues to make momentum-changing plays after the interception; his 280 interception return yards rank 9th all-time according to Pro Football Reference. After this latest 46-yard return (19.00 mph), Peters has now recorded a top-5 speed on a defensive turnover in 3 of the last 4 weeks and 6 times this season.

Down to their 4th starting quarterback of the season, the Texans played a bit of a two-QB system on the day splitting time between Brandon Weeden (80% of plays) and newly signed B.J. Daniels (20%). Daniels played primarily a read option/wildcat role, throwing the ball only twice on his 14 snaps taken. Surprisingly, though, it was Weeden who showed off some wheels, recording the 6th-fastest speed on a rushing touchdown this week at a speed of 17.96 mph.

Kenny Britt recorded a top speed on receiving touchdowns for the second straight week. After notching the 6th-fastest touchdown catch last week against Tampa Bay (19.80 mph), Britt hit 20.05 mph for the 3rd-fastest this week. He blew past Richard Sherman, who hit just 18.43 mph in coverage.

Entering Week 16, Arizona led the league with 54.6% of defensive plays in Dime (6 DBs). Despite the injury to Tyrann Mathieu, Bruce Arians didn't shy away from that defensive strategy against Green Bay, he doubled down. Arizona had 6 defensive backs on the field for 44 of 64 plays (68.8%) and allowed just 4.1 yards per play.

Minnesota got its three best defensive players back from injury this week (Harrison Smith, Anthony Barr and Linval Joseph), and it showed. The Vikings came up with 2 of the fastest speeds on defensive turnover returns from Smith (19.33 mph) and Captain Munnerlyn (18.12).
