The fastest ball carriers on their way to the end zone during Week 6 all hit at least 20 mph: Baltimore Ravens wide receiver (21.74 mph), Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper (21.50), Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martinis Bryant (21.44), Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (21.40) and Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib (20.82).

Buffalo was glad to have LeSean McCoy back in the mix. Initially, McCoy looked to shake off lingering problems from his hamstring problem, recording a 19.27 mph max speed on his first touch of the game a 33-yard run. It was his third-highest speed of the season as ball carrier.

Ronnie Hillman gave the Broncos some clarity to their bleak running back picture. He was the more explosive runner versus the Browns compared to C.J. Anderson, topping 15.00 mph on 10 of his 23 touches. Anderson did so on just one of his 17, maxing out at 15.36 mph.

Ameer Abdullah continues to be one of the most ineffective feature backs in the NFL. Against the Bears he averaged 5.56 yards of distance per yard gained on his 14 carries, and was pulled for most of the second half in favor of Theo Riddick. Riddick outplayed Abdullah 38 to 33 including 18 to 1 in the fourth quarter, though Abdullah got his number called more in overtime.

Kansas City bottled up Adrian Peterson after he rattled off three consecutive solid weeks. Despite covering the fifth-most yards as ball carrier this week with 446, Peterson gained just 57 total scrimmage yards. Apart from one 23-yard run on which he hit 17.41 mph, Peterson never got into the open field. He topped 14.00 mph one other time, on a carry that went for no gain.

Martavis Bryant picked up where he left off last season making blockbuster plays, taking a simple slant route from third-stringer Landry Jones 88 yards for a touchdown. He covered 131.26 yards weaving his way through the Cardinals secondary, hitting 21.44 mph in the process. That was the fourth fastest speed by a ball carrier on the day and second-fastest touchdown.

Several aspects of Miami's football team got back on track under new interim head coach Dan Campbell. The run game with Lamar Miller was one of them. Miller posted two top-ten max speed as ball carrier among RB and was very efficient needing to cover just 3.26 yards per scrimmage yards gained.

After getting killed for his inability to adjust his routes on Russell Wilson scrambles, Jimmy Graham caught a 45-yard pass on third down with his quarterback on the move. He made a small adjustment towards the middle of the field, covering 20 yards from the time Wilson gave him the hand signal to the point of the catch.

NaVorro Bowman was all over the field, making a league-high 15 tackles this week. He was fairly efficient averaging just 15.45 yards run on those tackles. For context, the league average among inside linebackers is 18.32 yards.

Chuck Pagano was in a risk-taking mood against the Patriots. In addition to the onside kick and fake punt experiment, he left Rob Gronkowski in single coverage on all but six of Tom Brady's dropbacks. It largely paid off as Gronkowski had just three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came on a coverage breakdown that left him completely uncovered 6.5 yards from the closest defender at the time of the catch.
