NFL's best cleats of 2015
New Year's is fast approaching and before we reach 2016, I thought that it would be fitting to show you the best cleats of 2015.

There are few players who have been featured in this series more often than Cam Newton. The good folks over at Under Armour provided Newton a new pair of cleats each week. Most of the pairs he was only allowed to warm up in (due to league rules). On this particular week, Newton wore a pair of C1N1 cleats that featured grey and black digital camo before switching to a zebra striped pair for the game. Leave the stripes to Ed Hochuli, and stick with those awesome digital camo cleats.

For a guy who doesn't have a shoe contract like Cam Newton, Mohamed Sanu has shown off a wide variety of cleats this season. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sanu sported the best pair of pink cleats in the league when he wore these pink and black customized Nike Vapor Carbon cleats.

Much like Cam Newton, Antonio Brown was often featured in this article. He wore a great pair of Nike Alpha Pro cleats that had a pink and white fade and had his number sprayed onto the toe.

Matthew Stafford was one of a few players who elected to wear the ultra popular Nike Huarache cleats that were originally intended for lacrosse. Stafford was seen wearing the Huarache cleats with pink patent leather throughout the shoe in warmups, but ultimately elected to not wear the cleats in the game.

Mohamed Sanu showcased several different pairs of team specific customized cleats, all of them paying tribute to the Bengals in various ways. On this particular week, he chose to show off the Bengals orange and black stripes with silver/white accents throughout the cleats.

We were tipped-off ahead of time by Nike that Suh and Nike would be paying tribute to the armed forces with this special edition cleat. Sadly, this was one of very few pair of cleats that Nike chose to go above and beyond with. Keep in mind that Cam Newton has received a different colorway to warm-up in every single week from Under Armour.

I tried my best to limit the number of times that Odell Beckham would appear in this article, but brace yourselves because Week 10 was the beginning of a historically great run of cleats by the young superstar receiver. In Week 10, Beckham showed off these Nuclear Camo Nike Vapor Carbon cleats that featured a modern woodland camo and had nuclear yellow and black accents on the swoosh. Beckham would ultimately switch out of these cleats and into a stars and stripes pair for the game.

I have tried for sometime now to identify this pair of cleats. Between the angle of the photo and the incredible amount of customization, I haven't been able to figure it out. Jackson wore these over the top cheetah print cleats in his game against the Carolina Panthers.

By Week 12, the league was just beginning to become enthralled with Cam, but we had not hit dabbing pandemonium yet. Cam Newton and his then undefeated Panthers were rolling and Cam was dabbing on everybody, so why not have a small painted photo of yourself doing your two signature moves on the heels of your shoe?

I struggled with this decision. There were more than a few pairs of Jordans featured on our list this season, but these were the only ones that stood out enough to make this list. The good folks over at Jordan brand weren't making enough tweaks to their colorways, or even to the types of shoes that they had guys wearing. Bryant rocked this pair of Jordan 12 cleats in one of the few games he was healthy this season.

Odell Beckham chose to wear this pair of special Thanksgiving edition cleats. The shoes pay tribute to a Thanksgiving staple with one designed for Charlie Brown and the other for Snoopy. Bonus points because he clearly was also channeling his inner pilgrim by wearing a pair of shoes featuring leather buckles. Beckham wisely didn't play in these.

In Week 13, Beckham decided to pay respect to the only city he's known as a pro with this pair of cleats that featured various elements from the New York City skyline.

Cam Newton wore this special edition bronze cleat that featured all of his major achievements from high school and college on the shoe. Things such as him being an All-American and some of his statistics from his final year at Auburn were featured on the shoe.

The same week that Cam Newton chose to show off his laundry list of accomplishments, Sanu broke out a pair of cleats that featured imagery from Christopher Nolan's Batman series. This was not the first, nor was it the last time, that Sanu wore a shoe featuring something from the series.

Beckham channeled his inner super villain in Week 14 when he wore these Joker cleats (and matching Joker gloves). The cleats paid respect to Heath Ledger's iconic performance with smeared red lipstick on the sides and eyes on the toes with the same style of smeared eye liner that Ledger wore in the film.

Antonio Brown got into the holiday spirit with this pair of Nike Alpha Pro 3/4 cleats that featured holiday lights painted on the sides of the shoe, but these were far from the best holiday shoes that we saw ...

In Week 15, Mohamed Sanu sported a pair of cleats that featured a perfect profile painting of Bane on one cleat and another painting of Bane giving more of a head-on look. Sanu may not have had the same type of season as OBJ or Cam, but my goodness, does this man take his cleats seriously.

These cleats were amazing. To start, they were Christmas colored, featured a candy cane rail along the base and had a frosted finish throughout the cleat. To make things even better the cleats had small presents on the tongue that featured a special button that would activate actual Christmas lights on the sides of the shoes.
