NFL's Best Cleats: Week 12
Welcome to Week 12's cleat review. This week features familiar faces showcasing some new and wild styles.

Well, this was not the year that Cowboy fans told you they would have. To be fair, as casual spectators we were deprived of what should have been one of the most fun passing offenses in the league. Instead, the Cowboys have gone through a slew of running backs and had injuries hamper both of their star players. Dez Bryant has been the lone bright spot, and last week he was held largely in check by the best corner in the league. Despite Dez's lackluster game, he did sport some of the cooler Air Jordan cleats that we have ever seen. Dez broke out his best shoes for Thanksgiving, but got so wrapped up in talking to Josh Norman that he forgot to "eat".

A lot has been made about Cam's dancing the past few weeks. Ever since Cam made it cool to dab in the end zone we have seen players all over the league trying their best to emulate the league's best player (yeah, I said it). Cam chose to capitalize on the dab-fever that has spread around the league by putting a small custom image of him dabbing on the inner portion of the cleats. It would be the equivalent of Michael Jackson having shoes with him moonwalking on them and then moonwalking in that same pair of shoes. It's the touchdown dance Inception. Keep on being you, Cam.

This is the second week DeSean Jackson has chosen to wear a pair of leopard print custom Redskin cleats. I have no clue what base he is using for these cleats, but I know that I thoroughly enjoy seeing him wear them. DeSean managed to find the end zone for the second-straight game and has begun to show glimpses of the blazing speed he was so well known for.

Michael Crabtree and Dez Bryant are my two favorite Jordan athletes to follow (from a cleats standpoint) because both guys seem to understand what it means to be a Jordan athlete. Crabtree is constantly trying out different Jordan variations and this pair ranks among the top for me. Using the often overlooked Jordan VII base and choosing to stay away from using too many colors to prevent them from looking like some of the over-the-top pairs of VII's that have been released as of late.

I am all for someone honoring their family with their cleats, or in some sort of other small gesture. These took the small gesture notion to the extreme. Sanu, who has been a prominent part of this list and has repped some of the best cleats that we have featured might be the only player who could pull these off. All I can say is that I hope he put this special pair away somewhere safe so he can give them to his son someday.

Ask any one of my friends and they will be able to tell you a few things about me. I love the Seahawks, I love sneakers, and I loathe Charlie Brown. It's not that I think that the comics or the show are bad, but I just find them to be pointless. A relic of a past time when entertainment was primitive and storytelling wasn't nearly as well done. Now, with that being said, these cleats are somehow extremely well done. Â Not only are the Charlie Brown and Snoopy colors distinctive, but they also add the odd after touch of buckles to the shoes shows a level of creativity that blows every other shoe I have covered out of the water.
