NFL Week 3 fantasy stock watch
Week 2 was a wild one that saw a number of big-name fantasy players suffer injuries. Below are 14 players whose stock is rising or falling heading into Week 3. Players surrounded with uncertainty (like Jordan Cameron) didn't make the list, as it was too tough to discern exactly what the situation would be. Keep an eye on these players heading into Sunday to help make the right choices for your fantasy lineup, as their stock could be on the move again before kickoff.

When Green suffered a ligament strain in his toe last week, it was widely assumed the he would sit out of Week 3 with the team's bye coming up in Week 4. However, Green practiced on Thursday and said he has no soreness in his toe. His hope is to play this Sunday, which would be a double-edged sword. Green could put up monster numbers, but there's still a risk that he could aggravate his injury even more.

Austin was among the crop of second-year wide receivers poised for a potential breakout in 2014. The eighth-overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft has yet to make a splash in 2014 though, and suffered a sprained MCL against Tampa Bay last week. Austin isn't likely to play on Sunday, and as a result his fantasy stock continues to plummet.

After giving his fantasy owners a minor heart attack in Week 1, Ellington has been solid in two weeks of action. The breaktout candidate has racked up over 90 total yards in each game, but has yet to find the end zone. That could change in Week 3, as he assumes a larger role in the offense with Drew Stanton under center again, and Jonathan Dwyer on the non-football injury list.

The news around Palmer's shoulder continues to be murky, but we know for certain he is not starting in Week 3. Palmer damaged a nerve when he initially suffered the injury, so it'd be great for fantasy owners to hear something more positive from a quarterback with a lot of fantasy talent around him. Speaking of which ...

Drew Stanton will remain under center for the Cardinals, damaging the fantasy stock of Floyd and Fitzgerald -- especially for Floyd. Stanton was pretty erratic in his Week 2 win, at times looking lost in the pocket, yet at other times placing nice throws over tight coverage. Perhaps another week of practice with the first-team will help Stanton, as prior to last Sunday he hadn't thrown a pass in a regular season NFL game since 2010. Still, Floyd and Fitzgerald are riskier starts with Stanton under center.

For the short term, Asiata's stock is on the rise in Minnesota. With Adrian Peterson on the exempt/non-commissioner list, Asiata will be getting the start, but offensive coordinator Norv Turner has admitted that he'll use both Asiata and Jerick McKinnon on Sunday. Asiata has more value on Sunday as McKinnon continues his development, but he could see himself losing touches later in the season to the talented rookie. For now though, Asiata's stock is high, and he could emerge as a great sell-high candidate on the trade market in the coming weeks.

Davis had a fantastic game in Week 2 (22.50 fantasy points) filling in for an injured Jamaal Charles, and was one of the hottest waiver-wire pickups this week. Unfortunately for Davis and his new owners, Charles has somehow already returned to practice as his originally diagnosed high-ankle sprain might not be as serious as initially perceived. It's likely Davis still sees the majority of the work on Sunday, but it could be the beginning of the end for his time as the starter if Charles recovers quickly.

With Ryan Mathews sidelined four to six weeks with an MCL sprain, Brown figures to slide in and take the bulk of the early-down carries for the Bolts. He looked good running for the Colts last season, so if he can capture some of that magic he could become a very solid flex play for the next couple of weeks.

Many football pundits have loved Robinson's running ability over the last few seasons, but a lack of opportunities has prevented Robinson from flashing that ability frequently on Sundays. Well, with Mark Ingram out with a broken hand for the next couple of weeks, Robinson could become the thumper for Sean Payton's offense, with Pierre Thomas keeping his Darren Sproles-like role. Robinson also has some solid flex appeal in the coming weeks.

Watkins got off to a slow start for the Bills in Week 1, but responded in a huge way with an eight-catch, 117-yard, one-touchdown performance in Week 2. Watkins looked the part of a No. 1 receiver, and could be in line for a healthier share of the targets after showing the world just how dynamic he can be. He's at least a flex/WR3 play for Week 3, but could be climbing even higher as the year progresses.

Davis suffered what appeared to be a pretty bad ankle injury on Sunday night against the Bears, and was on crutches until Thursday. That's not a good sign for one of San Francisco's top pass-catching threats. If Davis can't suit up on Sunday, Derek Carrier could be a great one-week fill-in against a Cardinals team that surrenders plenty of points to tight ends.

Despite having a recent injury history that reads like an Ayn Rand novel, Bradshaw has looked like the most complete and dangerous running back in Indianapolis so far this season. He had 96 total yards and caught two touchdown passes on Monday night against the Eagles. If the Colts want to get out of their 0-2 hole and make another playoff run, they'll need to realize that Bradshaw will have to play a big part in that.

Walker jumped to the top of the tight end statistical charts after a monster game in Week 2. Walker racked up 142 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys, showing off his speed in the process. The Titans were desperate for a big play threat, and Walker could be filling that void. We'll need a bigger sample size, however, and the Week 3 matchup against the stiff Cincinnati defense could be a perfect litmus test. For now, Walker's stock is on the rise.

Decker was looking the part of a true No. 1 receiver for the Jets through two weeks, but the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2 could seriously slow him down. It's unclear just how bad Decker's ailment is, but he's trying to play on Monday night against the Bears. If this injury lingers, Decker's stock will take a significant hit.
