Howell has a big arm and a beautiful deep ball. He leads college football in big-time throws the last three seasons, according to PFF. It's his ability to operate in a pro-style offense and consistently work through his progressions without bolting that's in question. He'll have a chance to answer both in Mobile.

Pickett looked like a completely different quarterback as a redshirt freshman compared to the rest of his career. His overall PFF grade jumped from 69.8 in 2020 to 92.3 this past season. He needs to work faster from the pocket, though, as evidenced by his 3.19 second average time to throw that was the second-highest in the nation.

Willis is the single best athlete at the quarterback position in this class and there are a lot of high-level athletes coming out. He ran for 1,220 yards and broke 90 tackles this season, the most in the entire FBS. His accuracy is still a question mark, though, as his 70.1 adjusted completion percentage was by far the lowest of any quarterback at the Senior Bowl.

Strong may have the best arm talent in the class. He pairs a quick release with a laser beam that can attack every level of the field. Strong is, however, a statue. He needs to answer whether he can buy time for himself and operate from NFL pockets.

Ridder's career progression is precisely what NFL evaluators want to see. He showed improvement in all four years as a starter culminating in a 90.7 overall PFF grade this past season. Ridder still has level of competition concerns, though, and only earned passing grades of 70.7 and 61.6 against Notre Dame and Alabama this past season respectively.

Zappe transferred from Houston Baptist to Western Kentucky last offseason and proceeded to break the FBS records for touchdowns (62) and yards (5,940) in his lone season for the Hilltoppers. While that's obviously impressive, he still comes with concerns about the translatability of that to the NFL. Zappe was only pressured on 12.5% of his dropbacks this past season (NFL average is over 30%).
