Ten unknown fantasy players to watch in camp
Fantasy football isn't always about the big names -- sometimes it's the guys you've never heard of who come out of nowhere and emerge into valuable assets. Remember Samkon Gado gaining his 15 minutes of fame in 2005? Players like this are difficult to unearth, but here are 10 whom you should be keeping tabs on as training camp gets rolling.

Murray, a rookie out of Central Florida, could turn into a viable fantasy option in Oakland. Everyone knows how brittle Darren McFadden has been during his career at the NFL level, and his current backup - Rashad Jennings - was anything but impressive while starting in place of Maurice Jones-Drew for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. If Murray can move up the depth chart during camp, he could end up being one of the more valuable handcuffs in fantasy land.

Much like McFadden, DeMarco Murray has struggled to stay out of the trainer's room at the pro level. He's missed a combined nine games in two years, including six in 2012, and is one of the bigger risk-reward runners in fantasy football. Should he continue to have issues with injuries, Randle would step in and could turn into a featured runner in the Cowboys offense. The rookie out of Oklahoma State will be worth a late-round look across the board in many fantasy formats.

To call Baldwin a bust in his first two seasons is, well, quite the understatement. He has caught a mere 41 passes with one touchdown at the pro level, so Baldwin isn't going to be on most fantasy radars. He is entering his third pro campaign, though, and the presence of new coach Andy Reid and his pass-laden offense is a real positive. If the Pittsburgh product earns a starting role opposite Dwayne Bowe, he will be a player to watch during the opening weeks of the season.

Broyles is coming off a torn ACL suffered during his rookie season, but all reports suggest he'll be fine for this campaign. In fact, the Lions official website considered him "a likely breakout candidate in 2013, if he can stay healthy." The talented wideout from Oklahoma is in a good position to start opposite Calvin Johnson in an offense that has thrown the ball more than any other over the past two years combined. Broyles is well worth a late-round choice.

Brown missed the entire 2012 campaign due to a broken ankle, but he drew rave reviews in OTAs and appears set to make a splash. In fact, he has a real shot to beat out Malcom Floyd for the right to start opposite Danario Alexander when camp breaks. Much depends on whether Philip Rivers can turn things around under new coach Mike McCoy, but Brown is at the very least worth a late-round look in most fantasy leagues heading into this season.

A first-round pick in 2012, Jenkins was invisible in the stat sheets as a rookie - he didn't record a single statistic and found himself buried on the depth chart. There's hope for him in 2013, though, as the Niners lost superstar wideout Michael Crabtree to an injured Achilles' tendon in OTAs. If Jenkins can impress in training camp and earn a prominent role in the pass attack, the Illinois product will be in the mix as a potential late-round flier in most deeper leagues.

The Saints let Devery Henderson leave as a free agent, so Morgan is now in line to become the team's field-stretching wideout in his absence. As long as he holds off Nick Toon, Chris Givens and rookie Kenny Stills in training camp, Morgan is going to be an interesting late-round flier in deeper leagues. After all, he does have one of the elite quarterbacks in fantasy football throwing to him in Drew Brees, and you can be well assured that the Saints will score points.

Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride has praised Randle for his growth compared to his rookie season, and the team is almost certain to utilize him more often as a result. While he will remain third on the depth chart behind Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, the former has been anything but durable during his time at the NFL level. Regardless, Randle is a player with upside and should be on the radar of fantasy leaguers during training camp - he has late-round appeal.

The Patriots corps of wide receivers is sort of a mess right now. Outside of Danny Amendola, there isn't one player who stands out as a serious fantasy option. Enter Thompkins, who drew rave reviews in OTAs and even earned some first-team reps at the end of minicamp. While most of his value lies in dynasty leagues at this point, Thompkins could also draw attention in seasonal leagues if his success continues into training camp and preseason action.

The tight end position is sort of a disaster as a whole, so fantasy leaguers need to look deeper to find potential late-round or waiver-wire gems. Housler, who caught 45 passes last season, fits the bill. New Cardinals coach Bruce Arians has called Housler a "wideout playing tight end" and thinks "the sky is the limit as far as where he can get talent-wise." The Florida Atlantic product might not get drafted in most leagues, but he's someone to watch as the season begins.
