Matriculation is supposed to be the dawning of a new era. What kind of job will I have? Where will I live? Well, for high-profile members of an NFL draft class, that question is pretty much answered for them. You'll be doing the same thing you did in college, only you'll be getting paid for it and living in city X. The next few years of your life are mapped out for you in the first three hours of Day 1 of the NFL Draft.
Unless you were selected in 2006. That's been a bit of a curve ball, as Vince Young can tell you for sure after being let go by the Buffalo Bills on Monday. Only three of the 10 skill position players taken in the first round are still with their original teams (Vernon Davis, DeAngelo Williams and Marcedes Lewis). Some have moved on to greener pastures, and some have been kicked out into the pasture. Some have even been "Dark Knight Rises Exiled Onto The Ice" by the teams who drafted them.
