Instead, he played one season for the Baltimore Colts than merged into the NFL from the AAFC (1950), one season for the New York Yanks (1951), one season for the Dallas Texans (1952) and nine seasons for the Baltimore Colts (1954-1961) -- the modern-era Colts that eventually moved to Indianapolis.
