Guyon was not drafted, entering the NFL 16 years before the league's first draft. After playing under coach Pop Warner at the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, Guyon attended Georgia Tech, where he played under coach John Heisman and helped the school win its first national championship in 1917. In the NFL, Guyon played one season for the Canton Bulldogs (1920), one season for the Cleveland Indians (1921), two seasons for the Oorang Indians (1922-23), one season for the Rock Island Independents (1924), two seasons for the Kansas City Cowboys (1924-25) and one season for the New York Giants (1927).
