Hull was not drafted. Hull's pro football career started with three seasons with the USFL's New Jersey Generals (1983-85). After the stint in the USFL, Hull joined the Buffalo Bills, for whom he played 11 seasons. He was a vital member of each of the Bills teams that advanced to an unprecedented four consecutive Super Bowls.
