Sanders was a machine against the Denver Broncos, posting nine receptions for what was a record 193 yards with two touchdowns and 29.9 fantasy points. The speedster averaged 21.4 yards per reception and found the end zone on long downfield strikes of 80 and 50 yards from game MVP Doug Williams. His yardage total in the game would have accounted for 31 percent of his yards during the entire 1987 season, so it was a breakout performance.

Craig was a prominent contributor in the Niners' 38-16 win over the Miami Dolphins. He rushed for 58 yards, caught a team-high seven passes for 77 yards and found the end zone three times for a total of 31.5 fantasy points. Craig's three scores set a Super Bowl record, as he found the end zone on a 2-yard run and on catches of eight and 16 yards. The versatile runner would have been a star had fantasy been as popular in the 80s.

Allen led the Raiders to their third title with a then-Super Bowl record 191 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 38-9 win over the Washington Redskins. The most memorable moment of the game, and one that will live in NFL lore forever, was Allen's 74-yard run in the third quarter that put his team ahead 35-6. Allen finished with 31.9 fantasy points, which ranks as the third-best Super Bowl performance from a runner.

Rice and the 49ers blasted John Elway and the Broncos 55-10 to capture the franchise's fourth Super Bowl title. While it was Joe Montana who took MVP honors in the contest, Rice had a huge performance with seven receptions, 148 yards and three touchdowns. The Hall-of-Fame wide receiver scored on catches of 20, 38 and 28 yards and finished with 32.8 fantasy points. It's the second-best Super Bowl stat line from a wide receiver.

Smith came out of nowhere to rush for a Super Bowl record 204 yards with two touchdowns and 33.3 fantasy points in a 42-10 win over the Broncos. Amazingly, he rushed for more yards in that game than he did in the entire 1997 season (126). Smith's Super Bowl success didn't open a window to the future, however. He rushed for just 476 yards over the next two seasons combined before being out of football after the 1990 campaign.

Montana threw for 297 yards and what was at the time a record five touchdown passes (three of which went to Rice) during a blowout win over the Broncos. His stat line totaled an impressive 33.4 fantasy points, which was the second-best quarterback total at the time. One of the best quarterbacks to ever grace the NFL gridiron, Montana earned a record third Super Bowl MVP award in the contest as a result of this performance.

Despite the effects of a migraine headache that hindered him in the first quarter, Davis was still able to lead the Broncos to a 31-24 win over the Green Bay Packers. He rushed for 157 yards with a Super Bowl record three touchdowns and 33.5 fantasy points. That is still the best fantasy performance in a Super Bowl from a running back. Davis, whose scores all came on 1-yard runs, was awarded MVP honors for his outstanding efforts.

Considered the greatest wideout in NFL history, Rice was a touchdown machine on the NFL's grandest stage. He scored three times to go along with 10 receptions and 149 yards in a blowout win over the San Diego Chargers. All told, Rice scored a ridiculous 33.9 fantasy points ... that's the most of any wideout in a Super Bowl. In his four championship contests, Rice recorded 589 yards and found the end zone an amazing eight times.

The immortal Montana had one of the best all-around fantasy performances in a Super Bowl during a 38-16 win over Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins. He completed a solid 68 percent of his passes, threw for 331 yards with three touchdowns and rushed for 59 yards and a fourth touchdown. All told, Montana would score 37.1 fantasy points in the contest ... the most ever in a Super Bowl at the time. He also took home MVP honors.

Young's 325-yard, six-touchdown performance in a win over the Chargers was the greatest fantasy performance ever in a Super Bowl. The versatile field general completed 67 percent of his passes, didn't throw an interception and even led the Niners in rushing yards (49). Furthermore, Young also shattered the previous record of five touchdown passes (Montana, Super Bowl XXIV) in the big game and finished with 41.9 fantasy points.
