After falling behind 24-6 to begin the fourth quarter, the Cardinals scored 18 points in the fourth quarter (including a successful two-point conversion caught by Kirk with less than a minute left) to drive the game to overtime. The Lions and Cardinals played to a 27-27 tie.

After sitting out all of the 2019 preseason, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott rejoined the Cowboys offense, rushing for 53 yards and one touchdown in an effort which the running back described as "a little rusty." The Cowboys defeated the Giants, 35-17.
