Week 13: Curse, Coincidence or Superstition
Many sports fans are inclined to believe that team losses can be traced back to a curse or superstition. So who said or did something to ruin their team's chance at a win in Week 13? Let's take a look.

The New York Jets have a new quarterback. His name just isn't Tim Tebow. Mark Sanchez struggled once again, throwing three interceptions in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals. Coach Rex Ryan finally replaced him with third stringer Greg McElroy, who threw a touchdown to lead the Jets to a 7-6 win. Ironically, Tebow was deactivated before the game because of two fractured ribs. The Tebow conspiracy continues...

It wasn't a high school prank, but the New Orleans Saints were the victim of an egg-regious act. A charter bus carrying Saints players from the Atlanta airport was pelted with eggs by airport workers. To add even more yolk on their face, Saints quarterback Drew Brees tossed five interceptions in 23-13 loss to the Falcons. Egg-tenuating circumstances to say the least. Sorry, we couldn't resist.

Pick six? Members of the Dolphins, including linebacker Karl Dansby and defensive end Jared Odrick, said they would buy lotto tickets in the $550 million Powerball drawing that took place last week. They didn't win and neither did the Dolphins losing to the New England Patriots 23-16.

In week 10, the Rams and the 49ers game ended in a 24-24 tie. Week 13 was beginning to look the same as the game headed to overtime tied 13-13. But with 26 seconds to go in OT Greg Zuerlein hit a 54 yard field goal to give the Rams the win and hand Colin Kaepernick his first loss. Looks like the QB controversy in San Francisco will be continuing for yet another week.

Andrew Luck's last second touchdown pass to Donnie Avery stunned the Detroit Lions and handed them their fourth straight loss. According to Elias Sports Bureau, the Lions are the first team since the 2000 Chargers to lose three straight games when leading with less than two minutes to go. At least, there weren't any flags involved this week.
