Week 14: Curse, Coincidence or Superstition
Many sports fans are inclined to believe that team losses can be traced back to a curse or superstition. So who said or did something to ruin their team's chance at a win in Week 14? Let's take a look.

Kermit the Frog was right. It isn?t easy being green. But on Sunday it was a little easier for the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles, who both beat Florida-based teams. The Jets won 17-10 over the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Eagles defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-21. And, coincidence or not, Tim Tebow of the Jets and Riley Cooper of the Eagles were roommates in college. Yes, at the University of Florida.

Last week it was reported San Diego Chargers coach Norv Turner was about to be fired at the end of the year, but the Chargers sparked to life, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. It looks like Turner?s job is safe. At least for this week.

Three and a half inches of snow and a mustachioed Will Ferrell may have brought a flurry of luck to the Green Bay Packers Sunday night. After being down 14-0 to the Detroit Lions, the Packers took command in the second half to win 27-20.

The Washington Redskins must have a surplus of rookie quarterbacks leading them to victory. After RG3 left the game with a knee injury against the Baltimore Ravens, back-up fourth round rookie quarterback Kirk Cousins completed an 11-yard TD pass to Pierre Garcon and tied the game up seconds later with a two point conversion. The Redskins ended up winning 31-28 in overtime.

After suffering a 30-28 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4, the Carolina Panthers were even more enraged Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was heard talking smack toward their sidelines. Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy guaranteed revenge. And teammate Cam Newton backed it up rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown leading to a 30-20 victory over the Falcons.

No greater payback than a former player scorned. Over the last two weeks two former New York Jets have stung their old team on the defensive end. Against the Arizona Cardinals in week 13, former safety Kerry Rhodes had two interceptions, and this week Dwight Lowery, whom the Jets traded in 2011, recovered a fumble against his new foe. However, the Jets won both games. Barely.
