Week 3 fantasy stock watch
Welcome to Week 3, aka, The Week We Hope We've Figured It All Out (But Probably Haven't). But we do know who's been up and who's been down across the National Football League. Time to ring the bell, the fantasy stock market is open and we're taking note of whose values are soaring and whose values are plummeting.

It didn't take Nostradamus to predict that Murray wouldn't duplicate his 2014 fantasy totals, but no one expected this. Through his first two games, the Eagles running back is on pace for 88 rushing yards (that's not a typo) and the Philadelphia offense is in complete disarray. It's likely going to get better, but people are rightfully concerned right now.

After two seasons of not looking like the player we all remember, the good ol' Larry Fitzgerald showed up in Week 2. It certainly helps that his quarterback, Carson Palmer, is off to a flying start this season. Maybe this is the beginning of a renaissance for a longtime fantasy football stud.

While one old name had a big rebound, a newer name is struggling to get started. Big things were expected from Cooks this season, but through two weeks he has just 62 receiving yards and his quarterback is dealing with shoulder issues. The Saints offense is a mess and with no hope in sight, Cooks is rapidly losing favor.

So maybe trending up isn't the most accurate description since everyone has been big on Bell from the beginning. But with the Steelers top running back finally back in action after a two-game suspension, plenty of fantasy enthusiasts are fired up to get their first-round pick into their lineups for the first time this season.

Browns fans were certainly excited to see Johnny Manziel get a start last week. But no one might have been more excited than Benjamin. He and Mr. Football have connected for three long touchdowns in the first two games this season, and Benjamin is the third-highest scoring player at his position. We'll see if the wideout has the same level of production now that Josh McCown has regained his starting job.

There were high expectations for the entire Dolphins offense after a year in offensive coordinator Bill Lazor's scheme. Miller was included in those projections, especially with the running back being in a contract year. So far, that hasn't happened with Miller posting just 127 total scrimmage yards through two weeks. This week's matchup against the Bills doesn't offer a lot of hope.

Chiefs WR Watch continues. It's been more than 19 months since a Kansas City wideout caught the football in the painted area. Maclin was supposed to end that drought. He still might, but the first two weeks haven't offered a lot of optimism. Now the Chiefs are on the road against the Packers on Monday night and Maclin is still looking for a breakout game. The concern is thicker than K.C. barbecue sauce ... but a lot less tasty.

We're not willing to proclaim an end to #Belitricks, but when a Patriots running back can fumble twice in the first two weeks of the season and remain on the field there might be a change in the New England backfield. Lewis has been productive both as a runner and a receiver and is flying off waiver wires everywhere. You know what that means, right? Yep, LeGarrette Blount blows up this week.

Ertz was one of the young tight ends everyone was so excited about coming into the season, thanks to the requisite excitement surrounding the Eagles offense. How's that working out for you? Ertz is being released in all sorts of fantasy leagues and that won't change as long as Philly's offense continues to sputter.

Here's a young tight end who is excelling early in the season. Baltimore's top pass-catcher is now (and will continue to be) Steve Smith, but Gillmore is making a serious play to be Joe Flacco's second option. With the tight end position in need of some fantasy heroes, it might be wise to start calling on Gillmore a little more often.
