Week 6: Curse, Coincidence or Superstition
Many sports fans are inclined to believe that a team's losses can be traced back to some seemingly innocuous moment. It's not about being the better team; Superstitions rule the win-loss column. So who said or did something to ruin their team's chance at a win in Week 6? Let's take a look.
New England Patriots fan and WWE megastar John Cena was named the New York Jets' honorary captain on Sunday. Cena's defection rallied the Jets to defeat the Colts 35-9, while the Patriots lost to the Seahawks, 23-24.

Michael Vick spent a week carrying a football around the Philadelphia Eagles training facility to overcome his fumble problems. It didn't quite solve his ball-security issues. Vick was intercepted twice, and the Eagles lost to Detroit, 23-26.

St. Louis Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein was 13 for 13 going into Week 6, but his perfect streak came to end against the Miami Dolphins. Zuerlein missed three field-goal attempts, including a 66-yarder in the final minutes that would have forced the game into overtime.

Calvin Johnson had a statistically solid performance against the Philadelphia Eagles, finishing the game with six catches for 135 yards. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, Calvin Johnson also had another game with a goose egg in the touchdown column.

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Carlos Rodgers reneged on his vow to salsa on Sunday against the New York Giants after hearing that Victor Cruz dedicated his famous touchdown celebration to his grandmother. The damage was done, however, as Rodgers had an uneventful performance and Cruz's celebratory dance punctuated the Giants' lopsided defeat of the 49ers.
