76. Washington State (3-9)
Buzz: An injury to QB Connor Halliday hurt. What hurt even more, though, was the Cougars' raggedy defense: When you surrender 39 points per game, you're not going to win all that often.
Player to watch next season: LB Jeremiah Allison.
77. Oregon State (5-7)
Buzz: The Beavers had a disappointing season, and new coach Gary Andersen -- hired away from Wisconsin after Nebraska hired Mike Riley -- needs to find some playmakers on both sides of the ball.

78. Bowling Green (8-6)
Buzz: The fast-paced Falcons ran 1,103 plays from scrimmage, third-most in the nation, and won the MAC East title.
Player to watch next season: G Alex Huettel.
79. Northwestern (5-7)
Buzz: The Wildcats were one of the biggest underachievers in the Big Ten this season. They lacked consistency on both sides of the ball.
Player to watch next season: CB Nick Van Hoose.
80. Texas Tech (4-8)
Buzz: Some of the bloom has come off the rose belonging to coach Kliff Kingsbury. Since winning his first seven games as the Red Raiders' coach, he has won just five of his past 14.
Player to watch next season: OT Le'Raven Clark.
81. Central Michigan (7-6)
Buzz: The Chippewas suffered September losses to Syracuse and Kansas, but rebounded to the point that they earned their sixth bowl bid in the past nine seasons.
Player to watch next season: C Nick Beamish.
82. San Diego State (7-6)
Buzz: This was the Aztecs' fifth consecutive winning season, the longest such streak at the school since 1973-77.
Player to watch next season: RB Donnell Pumphrey.
83. UTEP (7-6)
Buzz: The Miners had suffered through nine consecutive losing seasons before getting to a bowl game this season.
Player to watch next season: RB Aaron Jones.
84. Temple (6-6)
Buzz: After 18 consecutive losing seasons, the Owls now have had non-losing records in four of the past six seasons.
Player to watch next season: LB Tyler Matakevich.
85. Indiana (4-8)
Buzz: Injuries to their top two quarterbacks ruined the Hoosiers' season. Still, TB Tevin Coleman became just the 18th FBS player in history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season.
Player to watch next season: G Dan Feeney.
86. Appalachian State (7-5)
Buzz: The Mountaineers' first season as a FBS member was pretty darned successful, especially when you consider they opened 1-5.
Player to watch next season: RB Marcus Cox.
87. Arkansas State (7-6)
Buzz: The Red Wolves played for their fifth coach in as many seasons and went to a bowl for the fourth consecutive season. Good news is that the coach, Blake Anderson, will be back next season.
Player to watch next season: QB Fredi Knighten.
88. Middle Tennessee State (6-6)
Buzz: The Blue Raiders were a mild disappointment this season. They dropped three of their last four when a bowl bid was within their grasp.
Player to watch next season: SS Kevin Byard.
89. UAB (6-6)
Buzz: The Blazers finished .500 during their final season; the school announced in early December that it was terminating the program.
Player to watch next season: None.
90. Ball State (5-7)
Buzz: Ball State had been the only FBS program to improve its win totals in each of the past four seasons. The Cardinals should be able to start that streak again next season.
Player to watch next season: WR Jordan Williams.
91. South Alabama (6-7)
Buzz: The Jaguars made it to their first bowl, so the season can be termed a resounding success even though they finished under .500.
Player to watch next season: OT Chris May.
92. Purdue (3-9)
Buzz: At times, the offense showed some spark. Defensively, though, this team still needs a lot of work.
Player to watch next season: SS Frankie Williams.
93. Ohio (6-6)
Buzz: Even though they were bowl-eligible, the Bobcats' streak of five consecutive bowl appearances ended.
Player to watch next season: DE Tarell Basham.
94. Syracuse (3-9)
Buzz: This season was a bad one. A big problem: This was a senior-dominated team, so next season could be more of the same.
Player to watch next season: LB Zaire Franklin.
95. Texas State (7-5)
Buzz: The Bobcats had six wins over FBS schools, but four of those victims won two or fewer games and another won four. In short, they beat up on bad teams.
Player to watch next season: RB Robert Lowe.
96. USF (4-8)
Buzz: The Bulls made small strides in coach Willie Taggart's second season. The biggest problem: Quarterback play was atrocious.
Player to watch next season: RB Marlon Mack.
97. Old Dominion (6-6)
Buzz: This was the Monarchs' first season as a full-fledged FBS member, and it showed they need a lot more talent on defense.
Player to watch next season: WR Zach Pascal.
98. Kansas (3-9)
Buzz: To no one's surprise, the season was a disaster. New coach David Beaty, who had been wide receiver coach at Texas A&M, needs to bring in a ton of new talent on both sides of the ball.
Player to watch next season: SS Isaiah Johnson.
99. UT San Antonio (4-8)
Buzz: A season that was supposed to end in a bowl instead was sunk by a tepid offense. The Roadrunners didn't live up to their nickname and scored 16 or fewer points seven times.
Player to watch next season: TE David Morgan.
100. Colorado (2-10)
Buzz: You want to know why the Buffs lost 10 games? Their defense was rancid and gave up an average of 6.6 yards per play.
