Notable injuries, news from Sunday's Week 14 games: Saints QB Derek Carr suffers left hand injury in win

Here are the injuries and news we're monitoring around the league on this Week 14 Sunday:

  • Arizona Cardinals punter Blake Gillikin (ankle) did not return against the Seahawks.
  • Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) did not return upon exiting in the first quarter versus the Eagles after what appeared to be a non-contact injury. Brooks was later carted to the locker room from the sideline. Coach Dave Canales said Brooks has pain in his knee, and the team will do a full battery of tests to determine the nature of the injury. RB Raheem Blackshear (chest) was ruled out and taken to the hospital for further evaluation, per Canales. Blackshear will travel home with the team. Cornerback Jaycee Horn (groin) did not return.
  • Chicago Bears wide receiver DeAndre Carter (hamstring) and running back Travis Homer (head) did not return against the 49ers.
  • Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell (knee) was ruled out after being carted off the field with his left leg in an air cast in the third quarter against the Buccaneers.
  • Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a leg contusion in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. Tight end Will Dissly suffered a shoulder injury and did not return.
  • Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (shoulder) did not return versus the Bills.
  • Miami Dolphins wide receiver Dee Eskridge (knee) was ruled out versus the Jets.
  • New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr suffered a left hand injury after taking a hard fall while attempting to leap for a first down during the fourth quarter versus the Giants. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi told reporters Carr suffered an injury to his left non-throwing hand and could potentially be in the league's concussion protocol. NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported the team fears Carr fractured his hand. Linebacker D'Marco Jackson (ankle) did not return versus the Giants.
  • New York Giants guard Jon Runyan (ankle) and center John Michael Schmitz (neck) did not return against the Saints.
  • New York Jets wide receiver Irvin Charles (knee) was ruled out versus the Dolphins.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (groin) was ruled out versus the Browns. Cornerback Donte Jackson (back) exited early.
  • San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Ben Bartch (ankle) was ruled out versus the Bears. Running back Isaac Guerendo (foot) was questionable following his exit but did not return.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (knee) and running back Bucky Irving (back) did not return against Las Vegas.
