Tim Ruskell is out as the Chicago Bears' director of player personnel, according to a league source.

Ruskell had served as the interim general manager after longtime GM Jerry Angelo was fired shortly after finishing an 8-8 season. Ruskell was one of five candidates to interview for the position, but was not among the finalists.
The Bearslater confirmed the front-office move, saying the team and Ruskell "have mutually agreed to part ways."
The team hired Phil Emery as general manager on Saturday. Emery will be officially introduced during a news conference at 2 p.m. ET on Monday.
Ruskell previously served as the Seattle Seahawks' general manager from 2005 to 2009.
