Carolina's quarterback is officially on a campaign into the record books.
Cam Newton set two NFL records in the first half of Thursday night's 21-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.
His two-yard touchdown scamper marked the 44th career rushing touchdown for the defending MVP, the most of any quarterback in NFL history since the NFL-AFL merger. That run also gave Newton the most games with both a passing and rushing touchdown.
Steve Young was the previous holder of both records. Newton now has a chance to really distance himself from the rest of the pack with the incredible football he's played to start his career.
