The Lions have added another body to the passing game.
Detroit on Tuesday agreed to terms on a one-year deal with veteran wideout Lance Moore, according to the team's official website.
While the Lions have a rock-solid starting duo in Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, they could use more depth. Moore gives the team an established veteran who knows coordinator Joe Lombardi's offense, which borrows generously from Sean Payton's playbook in New Orleans. Moore spent eight seasons with the Saints before playing last year with the Steelers.
The move shouldn't stop the Lions from developing young pass-catchers Corey Fuller, Jeremy Ross and Ryan Broyles after Moore finished with just 14 catches in 2014, his lowest output since 2009.
Moore isn't the deep threat he was a few seasons ago, but it's no surprise to see Detroit take a look. He's no sure bet to last past training camp.
