Eagles' Dawkins leaves game with neck injury

PHILADELPHIA -- EaglesPro Bowl safety Brian Dawkins left Philadelphia's game against Washington on Monday night because of a neck injury.

The Eagles did not say if Dawkins would return.

Dawkins was hurt when he tackled tight end Todd Yoder on Philadelphia's 6 early in the fourth quarter. Dawkins was face down on the field for several minutes before he slowly got to one knee.

He walked off the field and to the locker room.

The Redskins scored on the drive and led 20-9.

Dawkins is a six-time Pro Bowl selection and his 32 career interceptions are fourth in team history.
