» Muhsin Muhammad scores on a 15-yard pass from Brian Griese. The score came with :09 seconds left on the clock and put the Bears ahead 19-16. ... Jerricho Cotchery scores on a 32-yard pass from Chad Pennington. ... Atlanta head coach Bobby Petrino told reporters that Byron Leftwich suffered a high ankle sprain against New Orleans. Those injuries can keep a player out several weeks, so it looks like Joey Harrington is back under center for the Falcons. Maybe Harrington is a curse -- first it was Daunte Culpepper, then Michael Vick and now Leftwich.

» Touchdown, Cincinnati defense, on a 42-yard interception return from Johnathan Joseph. ... Will Heller scores his second touchdown of the afternoon, this one on a 1-yard pass from Matt Hasselbeck. ... Touchdown, Matt Schobel, on a 13-yard pass from Donovan McNabb. ... LaMont Jordan has 11 carries for 29 yards against Kansas City. It seems the bloom is off the Jordan rose.

» Kenny Watson just scored his third touchdown of the afternoon, this one on a 2-yard run. The Jets have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, and it sure is evident this week. ... Robbie Gould has connected on four field goals in Philadelphia. David Akers has three field goals. Neither Chicago nor Philadelphia has scored a touchdown.

» Tony Romo has completed 31 of 35 passes for 277 yards with one touchdown against Minnesota, and Terrell Owens has 103 yards and one score. Larry Johnson scores on a 1-yard run. His stat line looks a heck of a lot better now -- 101 rushing yards and one trip to the end zone. ... Marc Bulger is having an awful afternoon in Seattle -- 136 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He has also lost one fumble.

» Reports out of Miami indicate Ronnie Brown has a sprained knee. He's scheduled for an MRI on Monday. ... Touchdown, Dallas defense, on a 67-yard return from Pat Watkins off a blocked field-goal attempt. ... Kenny Watson scores from 1-yard out. He now has 108 rushing yards and two scores on the afternoon. ... Larry Johnson has 98 rushing yards on 18 carries in Oakland. ... Touchdown, Ronald Curry, on a 21-yard pass from Daunte Culpepper.

» T.J. Houshmandzadeh scores on a 3-yard pass from Carson Palmer. ... Touchdown, Marion Barber, on a 1-yard run. That's the first rushing touchdown Minnesota has allowed all season. ... Shaun Alexander has 35 yards on 11 carries against a St. Louis team with an awful run defense. ... Touchdown, Seattle defense and special teams, on a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Nate Burleson. ... Tony Romo injured his hamstring in the first half against Minnesota, but he won't miss time due to the ailment.

» For those of you watching the Kansas City-Oakland game -- WAKE UP! That's the insomnia special of the week, as the Chiefs lead 6-0. Larry Johnson has 36 yards on 15 carries. Not so hot numbers. ... Tony Romo has attempted over 30 passes in the first half. Can you guess the gameplan offensive coordinator Jason Garrett constructed for the Vikes? ... Jason Witten has eight receptions in the first half against Minnesota. ... David Akers has connected on three field goals in the first half against Chicago.

» Touchdown, Minnesota defense, on a fumble return from Cedric Griffin. The Cowboys are killing themselves in this contest due to turnovers. ... Laveranues Coles scores his second touchdown of the afternoon, this one on a 36-yard pass from Chad Pennington. Cincinnati's defense is awful. ... Touchdown, Kenny Watson, on a 3-yard run. ... Will Heller scores on a 1-yard pass from Matt Hasselbeck. ... Touchdown, Adrian Peterson, on a 20-yard run. Minnesota is leaning on him big time this week.

» Rob Bironas just broke the NFL record for field goals (29, 52, 25, 21, 30, 28, 43, 29 yards) in a single season with an incredible eight. His final conversion, a 29 yarder, was a game winner for the Titans in what was an excitement-filled contest in Houston. ... There aren't many running backs with the burst of Adrian Peterson. He's an absolute beast. ... Touchdown, Terrell Owens, on a 5-yard pass from Tony Romo.

» Sage Rosenfels has thrown four touchdown passes in the absence of Matt Schaub. His fourth came on a 53-yard pass to André Davis. This has been the best contest of the afternoon -- Tennessee seemed to have the win, but Houston came back to take a one-point lead late in the fourth quarter. ... Touchdown, Laveranues Coles, on a 57-yard pass from Chad Pennington. ... Rob Bironas just tied Billy Cundiff, Jim Bakken, Rich Karlis and Chris Boniol for the NFL record for most field goals in a game with seven. ... Willis McGahee finished with 114 yards and one touchdown in a 19-14 loss to Buffalo.

» Maurice Stovall scores on a 4-yard pass from Jeff Garcia. ... Touchdown, Leonard Pope, on a 1-yard pass from Tim Rattay. ... Matt Gutierrez has replaced Tom Brady in the New England-Miami blowout. ... Brady finished with 354 yards and six touchdowns. ... Jesse Chatman scores on a 7-yard touchdown run. He'll be a hot name on the waiver wire if Ronnie Brown's injured knee is serious. ... Kevin Walter scores on a 6-yard pass from Sage Rosenfels. Walter has five catches for 88 yards and the score. ... Touchdown, Reggie Bush, on a 4-yard run. He also scored on a two-point conversion. Bush has four catches and 57 all-purpose yards in the contest.

» Touchdown, Tom Brady, on a 16-yard pass to Wes Welker. Brady now has six touchdowns on the afternoon, while Welker has nine catches for 138 yards and two scores. I'll say it again...unreal. Brady came back into the contest after Matt Cassell replaced him and threw an interception in his first series. Brady makes it look easy -- we could be watching the best quarterback ever.

So much for Michael Bennett -- Earnest Graham has seven catches and 144 all-purpose yards against Detroit. ... Touchdown, Calvin Johnson, on a 32-yard run. ... Jeff Garcia has three incompletions in Detroit. He has thrown for 243 yards and one touchdown. ... Jeremy Shockey scores on a 2-yard pass from Eli Manning. The Giants are up 32-9 on San Francisco.

» Tom Brady is coming back into the Miami-New England contest after Matt Cassell threw an interception on his first series. ... Derrick Mason scores on a 15-yard pass from Kyle Boller. Mason has seven catches for 78 yards and the score. ... Touchdown, Miami defense, on a 36-yard interception return from Jason Taylor. That's good news for fantasy owners who have Taylor in IDP formats.

» The Patriots have pulled Tom Brady in what is a 42-14 blowout of Miami. Matt Cassell will finish off this AFC East smackdown. Brady finished with 327 yards and five touchdowns. ... Touchdown, Patrick Cobbs, on a 2-yard run. He saw the goal-line work for Miami with Ronnie Brown and Jesse Chatman both hurt. ... Brandon Jacobs has 109 yards and one touchdown against San Francisco. ... Byron Leftwich has an injured right ankle (shocker). His return is questionable.

» Touchdown, Chris Henry, on a 4-yard run. The rookie has 48 yards on seven carries in his first significant action of the season. ... Touchdown, Anquan Boldin, on a 10-yard pass from Kurt Warner. Warner had all day to throw the football and found Boldin for the score. ... Touchdown, Marshawn Lynch, on a 1-yard run. He has 73 rushing yards and one score against Baltimore. ... Ronnie Brown went back to the locker room with an injured knee. CBS Sports reports he will not return. That's a tough loss for fantasy owners. ... Byron Leftwich is out with an injured right leg. Joey Harrington has replaced him.

» Ronnie Brown was injured in the New England-Miami contest, but he walked off the field on his own power. ... Rob Bironas has connected on six field goals against Houston. Billy Cundiff, Jim Bakken, Rich Karlis, Chris Boniol are all tied for the most in a single game with seven. ... Touchdown, Clinton Portis, on a goal-line run. Touchdown, Giants defense, on a 75-yard fumble return from Osi Umenyiora.

» Rudi Johnson is inactive for Cincinnati, so Kenny Watson will start against the N.Y. Jets. If you have Watson, he's an awesome fantasy option... Out of 13 fantasy football teams, I'm playing Tom Brady in just one league and I have Randy Moss on that team. ... Touchdown, Willis McGahee, on a 46-yard touchdown run. He had to love that one against his old team.

» Touchdown Tom Brady, his fifth in the first half, this one to Wes Welker on a 14-yard pass. If you're playing the team that has Brady this week, you're probably in serious trouble. Brady now had 10 touchdown passes in his last six quarters. ... Matt Schaub just got blasted again. He has taken a beating in this contest against Tennessee. Now he knows how David Carr felt when he was in Houston. Schaub is headed to the locker room again. ... Frank Gore is back for the Niners, and just picked up three fantasy points in the final 11 seconds of the first half.

» Plaxico Burress has left the San Francisco-N.Y. Giants contest. ... Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that Trent Green believes his NFL career is likely over. Green doesn't feel he will ever be cleared to play again. ... Frank Gore hurt his right ankle against the Giants, but he has returned to action. ... Touchdown, Anquan Boldin, on a 2-yard pass from Kurt Warner. Boldin has seven catches for 19 yards. ... Touchdown, Roddy White, on a 9-yard pass from Byron Leftwich. ... Ahman Green has four carries for three yards against Tennessee.

» Touchdown, LenDale White, on a 1-yard run. ... Unreal -- Tom Brady on a 50-yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss. Brady now has four touchdowns on the afternoon, and Moss has two catches, 85 yards and two scores. The Pats are killing Miami. It's like an NFL team against a Pop Warner squad. I think we'll see Matt Cassell at some point in this one. ... Touchdown, Washington defense, on an interception return from London Fletcher. ... Brandon Jacobs scores on a 5-yard run.

» Here's a little factoid from our friend David Carabello at the NFL Network. Byron Leftwich and Kerry Collins are the 46th and 47th different quarterbacks to start this season. Outside of strike years, this will be tied for the second-most starting quarterbacks used through Week 7 since 1970. ... So much for the Dolphins. Willie Andrews just scored on a 74-yard kickoff for New England. The Pats are on pace to score about 100 points. ... Tampa Bay's Mark Jones is coming off the field on a cart. ... Kevin Jones finds the end zone on a 1-yard run. ... Touchdown, Chet Lemon (I mean Cleo Lemon) on a goal-line run. The Dolphins have life! ... Field goal, Morten Andersen, from 38 yards.

» Sage Rosenfels has replaced Matt Schaub at quarterback for Houston. Schaub took a hard hit in the previous drive and needed help getting to the locker room. Rosenfels' first pass was intercepted. ... Ronnie Brown just broke a 19-yard run on a 4th-and-1 from mid-field. ... Marshawn Lynch has 44 yards on five carries against Baltimore. ... Boston College has moved to No. 2 in the new NCAA college football poll. South Florida is now ranked No. 11, and LSU is No. 3. Rutgers is No. 25.

» CBS Sports analyst Greg Gumbel just called Cleo Lemon Chet Lemon. Chet Lemon used to play outfield for the Chicago White Sox. I'm not sure if the Dolphins would be better off with Cleo or Chet at this point. ... Touchdown, Houston defense, on a 26-yard fumble return from DeMeco Ryans. ... Heee's back! Drew Brees just threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Devery Henderson. ... Touchdown, Kyle Brady, on a 2-yard pass from Tom Brady. ... Laurence Maroney is sharing carries with Kevin Faulk and Heath Evans.

» Touchdown, Clinton Portis, on a 2-yard run. ... The Red Sox emails are rolling in. To be honest, I respect Red Sox fans more than most fans. One of my favorite people in the world is a Red Sox fan (Tans). You have to be passionate to root for a team that has choked for so long. I just can't stand the Red Sox team. ... » Touchdown, Donté Stallworth, on a 30-yard pass from Tom Brady. Stallworth broke several tackles to find the end zone. Congrats Miami -- you have the worst team in the NFL. ... NFL.com Associate Editor Aron Angel just walked into the office with a Red Sox hat. Man, even that "B" on the cap makes me ill. I'm sure I've made a lot of fans in the Boston area this weekend. Go Tribe!

» It appears that Kurt Warner, not Tim Rattay, will start for Arizona. However, the team won't say for sure who the starter is so it might be safer to reserve Warner. ... » I saw 30 Days of Night over the weekend. It was OK, and that comes from someone who loves classic horror movies. One show that I'm into big time these days is Ghost Hunters. If you're into ghosts and the paranormal, check it out. Next week they're in Salem, MA, which is a place I've been to several times. If Grant or Jay (the founders of TAPS) likes fantasy football, I'll offer you personal advice for a chance to go on one of your investigations.

» Is there a funnier show on TV than Curb Your Enthusiasm? That show is pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. ... Donté Stallworth is active and will start for New England. He's been more productive than Randy Moss the past two weeks. ... Before we attack another week of fantasy football, I'm giving a quick shout out to the Cleveland Indians. PLEASE don't roll over and pull a Yankees and choke! PLEASE! I can't take another Red Sox World Series! (Jessica, that one is for you babe!)

» Being from Connecticut, I haven't see too many celebrities. Heck, the most famous people there (outside of ESPN talent) are the liquor store owners who do weak commercials on local cable to promote their stores. But now that I'm in LA-LA land, I see celebs all the time. This weekend I saw Fred Couples, and since we have a mutual friend in Jim Nantz, I said hello and talked to him. Nice dude. The other celebs I've seen out here include Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (at a Pinkberry store in Brentwood), Denise Richards (um, she's all that and a bag of chips), Joey Lawrence (whoa!), Pat Riley and Vanessa Williams (we attend the same church). Kinda cool.

» Alge Crumpler is inactive for Atlanta. ... Keyshawn Johnson just said that it will be a long day for David Carr since Andre Johnson is inactive. Umm...Carr doesn't play for the Texans. ... ESPN reports that Laurence Maroney is expected to play in Miami. ... Kerry Collins will start for Tennessee, but Vince Young will be the No. 2 quarterback. ... Priest Holmes will be active this week, but don't expect him to hurt the value of Larry Johnson. Holmes is expected to see about 15 snaps a week. ... The Minnesota-Dallas game has been moved to 4pm EST.
