The Colts are shutting down Kendall Langford.
Indianapolis officially placed the veteran defensive lineman on injured reserve on Saturday after coach Chuck Pagano suggested in Week 7 that Langford would not return this season. The 30-year-old has been sidelined with a knee injury since then. Langford had played in 135 consecutive games at the time, the most by any active defensive lineman.
Langford is still eligible to return this season, if the Colts make a deep playoff run.
After tallying seven sacks in his first season in Indy in 2015, Langford failed to register a sack in seven starts this year.
In a corresponding move, the Colts promoted cornerback Christopher Milton to the active roster.
Here are the other injuries we're monitoring on Saturday:
- Texans defensive tackle Vince Wilfork (groin) and wide receiver Will Fuller (knee) are questionable to play Monday night against the Raiders. Running backs Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes are both out.
- The Raiders have six players listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week: wide receiver Amari Cooper (back), running back Latavius Murray (ankle), offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele (knee), cornerback Sean Smith (shoulder), center Rodney Hudson (knee) and defensive tackle Stacy McGee (ankle).
