Inside the Schedule
The 2014 season was a year to forget for the 49ers and their fans. After three deep playoff runs, the team struggled to an 8-8 record and missed the postseason. With a new coaching staff and minus a number of familiar faces, San Francisco faces an uphill climb to emerge from what is arguably the NFL's toughest division.
Key Games
Week 7, vs. Seahawks: This rivalry has bloomed over the past three seasons. This year, the meeting between these two smash-mouth clubs could tell us a lot about the Niners' standing in the division.
Week 6, vs. Ravens: It certainly doesn't have as much meaning as Super Bowl XLVII, especially without Jim Harbaugh on the 49ers sideline. But any measure of payback would be nice for fans.
