For the second straight season, the Chargers finished 9-7. The difference was that in 2014, the Bolts failed to make the playoffs. With the Broncos' window seemingly closing, this could be the year for San Diego to make a move in the AFC West.

    Key Games 

Week 8, at Ravens: Last season's win against the Ravens helped keep San Diego's playoff hopes alive. Another win in Baltimore would likely go a long way toward getting the Chargers back to the postseason.

Week 14, at Chiefs: A loss at Kansas City last season ended San Diego's postseason hopes. A win at Arrowhead might soothe those wounds, but also stands as a big divisional victory.

Week 17, at Broncos: If the Chargers are indeed to take over the top of the charts in the division, they'll have to score a win against the Broncos. Preferably two ... but at least one.
