Jalen Ramseyran on the field late last week, just two weeks after undergoing surgery on his meniscus. The video was a prelude to the rookie returning later this summer for Jacksonville Jaguars training camp.
On Wednesday, Ramsey said he's already feeling 100 percent, despite sitting out minicamp.
"I don't really put expectations on myself, to be honest," Ramsey said, via the team's official website. "I just do what I can when I can do it. I know I'll be 100 percent at that time. I feel 100 percent now. So when training camp comes I will definitely be ready."
While we cautioned last week that seeing Ramsey run straight, while promising, is still far from the cutting and hitting he'll need to do when full-contact begins, the rookie isn't fretting.
"I'm able to do everything. I can do anything," Ramsey said.
So as long as he doesn't suffer a setback in training camp, the rookie corner believes having the time off could be a net positive.
"That has probably helped me even more," Ramsey said. "I've been able to watch a lot of film and just watch the practices and try to stay mentally tuned in and put myself out in the positions out there mentally.
"I ask questions about corner, nickel, and whatever position, but other than that I'm really so motivated and just want to go and do it."
No injury is good, but sometimes with a talented rookie like Ramsey, who has spent his life dominating with athleticism, learning how to absorb the NFL game can be the most difficult transition.
