PHOENIX -- Unlike last year, Marshawn Lynch spoke at Media Day this time. And he stayed on message.
"I'm just here so I won't get fined," Lynch said.
That was Lynch's response to 29 different questions the media horde asked here at the US Airways Center for five straight minutes. Well, until he shouted ... "Time!"
Lynch believed that he only needed to stay five minutes to avoid a fine, and that's how long he stayed. And with that, he won Media Day by treating it with all the self-seriousness it deserves.
UPDATE: Well, Lynch did at least speak to one reporter.
