  • RB MarShawn Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury in last week's preseason opener and will not be practicing, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters.
  • OT Jordan Morgan (shoulder) is returning to practice on a limited basis, per LaFleur.

  • QB Tua Tagovailoa told reporters that he hopes to play in this Saturday's preseason game versus Washington.

  • QB J.J. McCarthy will undergo surgery for a meniscus tear in his right knee, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported, per sources. The surgery will determine how long McCarthy will miss.

  • TE Hunter Henry will not participate in Tuesday's joint practice with the Eagles, head coach Jerod Mayo told reporters.

INJURIES

  • RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. was carted off the practice field after suffering an ankle injury, the team announced. Tracy's ankle was put in in air cast and he was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
  • WR Malik Nabers told reporters Tuesday that he's feeling no pain in his ankle and that there is "no doubt" he will be ready for Week 1. Nabers underwent X-rays and MRI upon sustaining the injury in practice. Head coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that Nabers will not be practicing today.
