Robert Griffin III isn't giving up on his NFL career.
The former Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns quarterback worked out with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday, a source involved in the tryout told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Cut by Cleveland in March, Griffin has drawn zero interest on the free-agent market. Refusing to give up, the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year has spent the offseason training in Florida with former Browns assistant Pep Hamilton.
Griffin was an unreliable, injury-prone passer for Cleveland last season, appearing in only five games and completing just 59.2 percent of his throws while tossing two touchdowns and three picks.
The former Baylor star flamed out in Washington after four seasons, campaigns that grew progressively worse after Griffin, as a rookie, suffered a devastating knee injury in the team's wild-card loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Once an electric presence on the ground, Griffin has entirely failed to develop as a pocket passer over five seasons. In Los Angeles, the 27-year-old signal-caller would join a quarterback room led by Philip Rivers and backed by Kellen Clemens, Mike Bercovici and Eli Jenkins.
We'll find out soon enough if Griffin's career is back on track or still lost at sea.
