Eagles WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) says he will be out a couple weeks

A.J. Brown will be missing for more than just Monday night.

Brown, who was ruled out Sunday for the Philadelphia Eagles' prime-time game against the Atlanta Falcons, told ESPN's Lisa Salters he expects to miss a couple of weeks due to his hamstring injury.

Questionable on Saturday's injury report before he was downgraded the day before the game, Brown popped up on the injury report Friday, when he experienced some tightness during practice.

Brown opened the season in fine fashion, recording five receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown during an Eagles win over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, but now the top-tier wide receiver will be absent from the Jalen Hurts-led offense for multiple weeks.

Since joining the Eagles via trade ahead of the 2022 season, Brown has produced back-to-back 1,400-yard Pro Bowl seasons.

With him out, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Dallas Goedert will likely see bigger target shares.

After Monday's game, the Eagles are headed on the road for their next two games against the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both currently 2-0.

Monday marked Brown's first missed regular-season game as an Eagle (he missed last season's playoff loss), but he'll be adding to that tally.
