The Saints will be without their star running back for the second consecutive game.
Alvin Kamara (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Eagles. The Saints RB did not participate in the last two practices after being being limited on Wednesday.
Veteran backup Mark Ingram will take over Kamara's role as the Saints' featured back for the second week in a row. Ingram had 108 scrimmage yards (47 rushing, 61 receiving) and a touchdown in last week's relief appearance against the Titans. The 31-year-old became the franchise's all-time leading rusher in the losing effort.
The midseason acquisition of Ingram has proved beneficial for the Saints considering Kamara's recent knee injury, which came at the end of New Orleans' home loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9. Kamara's injury is another chapter in what has been an injury-laden season for the Saints.
In eight games, Kamara leads the team in rushing (530), receptions (32) and touchdowns (seven).
Ingram and Dwayne Washington will do their best to fulfill the absence of Kamara, but the injury bug persists outside of the team's star player in Week 11.
Also ruled out for the Saints are starting tackles Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder) and Ryan Ramczyk (knee). Wideout Ty Montgomery, who often spells at RB, will also miss the game due to a hand injury. Quarterback Taysom Hill, another factor in the Saints' rushing attack, is questionable to suit up versus Philadelphia with a foot injury.
