New CFB unis we're most looking forward to seeing
A new college football season means new looks for a number of college football teams. Some come strong, others not so much. Here, we are going to highlight the very best -- with one exception -- of what's to come in 2015.

Expected debut: Sept. 5, when Louisville plays Auburn in Atlanta.
This isn't to say that "Uncaged Cardinal" is a particularly appealing look, but it should be quite the sight during opening weekend. "Uncaged Cardinal" is designed to "represent the football team's style of play, the 'Uncaged Cardinal' is fierce, attacking and always on the offensive," per PR materials. In short, "Uncaged" is an uncompromising onslaught on the optics.
Louisville also has an all-black alt kit for its Sept. 17 game, which has a helmet similar to one worn in 2014.

Expected debut: Nov. 21, when Notre Dame plays Boston College at Fenway Park.
Notre Dame has one of the greatest traditional uniforms in American sports, but the program does dip into the alt uni realm during its "Shamrock Series" games (see 2014, 2013 and 2012). This year, the Irish go green for the famed "Green Monstah."
In addition, BC will be wearing throwbacks inspired by its epic 1984 season.

Expected debut: Unknown.
As part of a Nike rebrand across all Tennessee sports, the football team got enhanced look. The highlight was "Smokey Grey," which references the tonal layers of the Great Smoky Mountains. Tennessee football's return to national relevancy could coincide with the debut of sweet new alt unis.

Expected debut: Sept. 5, when Arizona State plays Texas A&M at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Arizona State came through with a bold new look, paying homage to its home state's nickname and identity as the "Copper State." Since the Sun Devils' Sept. 5 opener is on a neutral site, might CFB 24/7 suggest that the team breaks these out again for a home game so the local fans can see them in action?

Expected debut: Oct. 10, when Utah hosts California for its annual homecoming game.
When it doubt, throw it back. Nods to the past are always a welcome uniform design in a modern college football uniform world often populated with gawdy eye sores. Utah's throwbacks are a multi-era hybrid, with an interlocking helmet logo reminiscent of the team's look in the 1960s, number font from the 1970s and jersey stripes from the 1970s-90s.
Utah gets extra credit for its glorious "satin red" matted helmet that the team will wear when it hosts Michigan on Sept. 3.

Expected debut: Sept. 5, when the Huskies host UNLV at Huskie Stadium.
To commemorate the team's 50th season at Huskie Stadium, Northern Illinois is going to wear a throwback uniform from its 1965 season. The glorious look features helmet numbers and striped socks. There will also be the letters "NI" on each sleeve, which is believed to be unique to the team's 1965 season.
Husky history lesson: That 1965 season kicked off with a 28-14 win over Wisconsin-Whitewater (currently of DIII dominance fame) at NIU's former home, Glidden Field. The team's first-ever game at Huskie Stadium came on Nov. 6 of that year against Illinois State. An unbeaten 9-0 season came to a halt with a 37-20 loss to North Dakota in the Mineral Water Bowl.
We've said it before, and we'll say it again ... when in doubt, throw it back.

Expected debut: Oct. 31, vs. South Carolina
At the present time, Texas A&M is set to host South Carolina at Kyle Field on Halloween with a game time that is still TBD. We're hoping TBD turns into a night game for added fright. The all-black uniforms should bring a certain level of intimidation, because, you know, black is supposed to be an intimidating color. Couple that with a night game on Halloween, and South Carolina might just be spooked right out of their wits.

Expected debut: Sept. 5, when the team hosts the University of San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium.
San Diego State's new uniforms unleash what might be one of the best helmets in all of college football this season. The lid features the Aztec calendar, a piece of Mexican history that dates back to the 1400s. The Aztec calendar also adorns the uniform sleeve panels. Simply awesome (Insert three fire emojis followed by a thumbs-up emoji here).

Expected debut: Unknown, but the Sept. 12 home game against Oregon might be a good time for a grand public unveiling in front of a national television audience.
These might be the first college football inspired by ancient warfare. The spectacular all-new alternate uniform -- featuring a bronze helmet, bronze sleeve caps and other subtle bronze highlights -- was inspired by one of the most feared tactical formations in human history, the Greek phalanx, according to PR materials. The uniform is intended to visually represent the phalanx when the team stands side-by-side on the field. Let the Spartans' bronze age commence!
