Next Gen Stats: 2017 NFL Week 5
Find out who blitzed the most, threw the longest and had the most receptions with this week's edition of Next Gen Stats.
For the first time in Next Gen Stats history, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had the fastest time to throw for the week meanwhile Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson trailed behind as the slowest average this week.
The longest completed pass belongs to Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who had a pass that traveled an air distance of 62.4 yards on a 63-yard touchdown pass to Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
The Cleveland Browns defense led the league this week in highest blitz percentage at 63.6% as they tried to put pressure on the Jets quarterback Josh McCown. Titans rounded out the top five at 39.3%.
Giants wide receiver Orleans Darkwa tops the list for the best efficiency this week with 1.95 yards traveled per rush yard gained for a total of 69 rushing yards.
Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green tops the list for the highest passer rating when pressed at the line of scrimmage while 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin had the lowest. Jarvis Landry came in second at 129.2 passer rating.
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown led all wide receivers in most receptions out wide this week with ten receptions and 157 yards.
Among all defenders, Lions cornerback Darius Slay had the highest average distance traveled per tackle at 31.1 yards while Lions middle linebacker Jarrad Davis had the highest among linebackers at 22.7.
Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson recorded the highest average air distance (a ball traveled in the air from the point of throw to the point of catch on a reception) on completions this week at 27.3 yards. The next closest was Indianapolis Colts' Jacoby Brissett at 23.2 yards.
Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham had the most receptions for a tight end out wide this week on 33.0% of pass plays. Zach Ertz came in second with 2 receptions but only 7.0% of pass plays.
The Seattle Seahawks had the highest yards per play at 10.9 yards with their 0-1-4 set. They were the only team in double digits, with the next closest being the Bengals at 9.1 yards per play with their 1-1-3 set.
