Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt had the lowest distance traveled per rush yard gained this week with 2.82 yards. The second closest was Tarik Cohen with 3.07 yards.

The longest completed pass belongs to Patriots QB Tom Brady, who had a pass that traveled an air distance of 59.7 yards on a 54-yard pass to Patriots WR Brandin Cooks.

In 2016, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw from outside the pocket on 17.4 percent of his passes, 3rd-most in the NFL. Seattle QB Russell Wilson was not far behind, with 16.4 percent of his passes attempted from outside the pocket. Week 1 seemed to be a continuation of 2016, as Wilson led the league in percentage of passes from outside the pocket (33.3 percent) and Rodgers in 3rd place (19.5 percent). Wilson, however, was more effective than Rodgers from outside the pocket, sporting a 91.4 passer rating to Rodgers' 43.2.

The Cowboys defense was dominant against the Giants on Sunday night. One notable contributor was Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence was disruptive in the season opener against the Giants as he sacked Giants QB Eli Manning twice on the day. Lawrence finished third among all defenders in average separation to the opposing quarterback on pass rush snaps, highlighting how close he was getting to Eli Manning on a per snap basis.

Steelers WR Antonio Brown was flawless against the Browns on Sunday, hauling in all 11 of his targets for 182 yards on the day. Brown was lights out regardless of his lineup but was particularly deadly out of the slot. Last season, Brown primarily lined up out wide on 88 percent of his snaps, but this week he saw more of a shift into the slot as his out wide snaps decreased to 77 percent.

Raiders QB Derek Carr had the fastest release in the NFL this week, while Seahawks QB Russell Wilson had the slowest.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian recorded the highest average air distance on completions this week with 23.3 yards.

In their takedown of the Indianapolis Colts, the Los Angeles Rams defense allowed the lowest passer rating while blitzing this week (8.7), while the Baltimore Ravens defense came in second with a passer rating of 24.5.
