Throughout the first three quarters, Patriots QB Tom Brady was letting the pressure get to him as he had a passer rating of 61.0 (3-7, 39 yards) and saw a pressure rate of 34.6% on his dropbacks. However, in the fourth quarter, the Jaguars' defense had trouble getting to him as their pressure rate dropped to 18.8%. Coming into this week, the Jaguars had a pressure rate of 35.0% in fourth quarters in previous games, the second-best over that span.
Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore continues to thrive in coverage this postseason, as he's held opposing receivers to a passer rating of 47.1 when targeted, compared to 73.1 during the regular season.
Patriots QB Tom Brady had time to operate against the Jaguars, as his time to throw on each of his TDs was more than 2.5-plus seconds.
Jaguars QB Blake Bortles was more aggressive in the fourth quarter, throwing into tight windows more often as compared to previous quarters (46.2% vs. 0%), but was not successful while doing so (0-6).
Patriots OLB James Harrison had the highest pressure rate this week with 33.3% vs. 8.3% NFL average (minimum five pass rushes).
Eagles QB Nick Foles had a perfect passer rating (158.3) when facing pressure this week vs. 67.0 in previous weeks. He threw all three of his touchdowns under pressure.
Vikings WR Stefon Diggs caught the winning touchdown last week with only 0.3 yards of separation from his nearest defender, or in a tight window (less than one yard of separation from nearest defender). This week, Diggs did not catch a single tight-window target. The Eagles' defense has allowed a passer rating of 0.0 in tight windows since Week 15.
Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes limited Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery to a passer rating of just 21.7 in two meetings against him last season. This week, however, Jeffery was more effective, hauling in all three of his targets with Rhodes in coverage for 27 yards and a passer rating of 104.2.
Vikings DE Everson Griffen had the fourth-most pressures (62) of any defender in the regular season, but couldn't generate one against the Eagles.
Eagles CBs Patrick Robinson and Ronald Darby had outstanding performances in coverage against the Vikings, allowing 11 and 28 yards with passer ratings of 16.7 and 42.8, respectively.
