Waiver Wire
2018 Week 11 fantasy football waiver-wire targets
Week 10 is in the books, and since fantasy football is a forward-thinking game, we're already looking ahead to next week. Let's hit the Week 11 wire as playoff pushes are being made:

With Chris Carson (hip) on the sidelines, the No. 27 overall pick in last year's draft finally got going. Penny did not see a passing look -- but he out-carried (12 to 11) and out-gained (108 to 52) Mike Davis. Davis played in more snaps than Penny by a wide margin (58 to 39 percent), but it was the rookie who was the far more effective back for the first time all season. Penny earned 5.6 yards after contact per carry and looked explosive all game long, especially on his TD scamper. Penny turned around what looked like a dead season in Week 10, and is an intriguing stash with Carson banged up.

Penny and Davis can both co-exist in FLEX capacity in Seattle's extremely run-heavy attack for as long as Chris Carson (hip) is out. Seattle easily has the most voluminous rush attack in the NFL, leading the league in both rush attempts per game (32.0) and rush rate (54 percent). Davis has the edge in PPR leagues because of his passing opportunity in Week 10 (Davis: 23 routes run; Penny: 14), but there is still plenty of volume to go around in the Seahawks backfield.

The Titans are out of the doldrums of their schedule, and Marcus Mariota is back to performing near his ceiling. With two top-eight weekly QB finishes in Weeks 9-10, Mariota next faces a Colts defense that was just whacked by Blake Bortles (320 yards, 2 TDs, 112 passer rating). Averaging a career-high 28.5 rushing yards per game, Mariota has an appetizing back half of the schedule that puts him on the high-end QB2 radar.

Coutee missed Weeks 8-9 with a pulled hammy and should have fresh legs off his Week 10 bye. Coutee made his debut in Week 4 and got off to a hot-start with two solid fantasy outings (11/109, 6/51/1), was slowed by Buffalo (3/33), and then hurt his hamstring in Week 7 against Jacksonville. It's been a tough month for the rookie, but Coutee is still a WR4/5 stash now that Will Fuller is out for the rest of the season. Demaryius Thomas will undoubtedly compete for targets, but Coutee's 4.43 wheels gives him the inside track to take over for some of Fuller's deep targets. The Texans rest of season schedule is ripe for the picking (Weeks 11-16): Washington, Tennessee, Cleveland, Indianapolis, New York Jets, and Philadelphia.

The Jets got smashed, 41-10, by the Bills, but the lone positive (for fantasy, at least) is that McGuire continued leading the Jets backfield in Week 10. Since returning from IR (foot), McGuire has led the Jets backfield in snaps and he's tied Isaiah Crowell for the lead in touches (20 to 20). What's more, McGuire has run 47 pass routes over the last two weeks, tied for third-most on the Jets. McGuire is a PPR specific add attached to a team we should expect to continue to trail quite a bit.

Finally healthy after a pesky groin injury, John Ross returned to the field in Week 10 and ran the second-most routes on the Bengals behind only Tyler Boyd. The Bengals were trucked by the Saints, but Ross led the team in targets (6) and turned in a usable 2/39/1 receiving line. Ross' TD came in the red-zone, where the shifty speedster has sustained plenty of success before. In his final season at Washington, Ross led the FBS with 12 receiving touchdowns on red-zone plays in 2016. Let's just hope he can stay healthy.

With Joe Flacco's (hip) status up in the air, we have to peg Jackson as a clear upside QB2 in 12-team leagues. Jackson is known for his legs and explosive ability, giving him plenty of rushing upside in Baltimore's attack. If forced to start, Jackson and Co. will likely attempt to go extremely run-heavy. Baltimore is the most pass-happy team in the NFL when the scoreboard is neutral (66 percent), which can not happen with Jackson this early in his development. We saw Jackson's dual-threat ability in the preseason, but he struggled mightily passing per PFF's charts (77.3 passer rating; 6.0 YPA; 50 percent completions; 8 sacks absorbed). Still, Jackson is an obviously appealing stash ahead of Baltimore's beautiful remaining schedule that is the easiest in the NFL (per SharpFootballStats).

In Demaryius Thomas' Week 9 absence after he was dealt to Houston, Jeff Heuerman made the best of the Broncos' open opportunity. Before the bye, Heuerman dropped a quiet 10/83/1 on the Texans and actually led the Broncos in targets (11). Functioning as Case Keenum's security blanket, Heuerman sneakily leads Denver in red-zone targets per game this season (1.3), too. Perhaps Demaryius' departure sparks just enough opportunity to give Heuerman streaming appeal. Remember, Case Keenum made Kyle Rudolph the PPR TE10 last season.

It still isn't confirmed at press time, but it appears Cooper Kupp suffered a significant knee injury in Week 10 vs. Seattle. Kupp's injury was non-contact, which rarely ends well. HC Sean McVay said after the game that Kupp's injury "doesn't look good." Without Kupp, the Rams will turn to Robert Woods in the slot and promote Josh Reynolds to a boundary receiver role. In Kupp's absence in Weeks 7-8, Woods ran 61 percent of his routes from the slot while Reynolds played on 86 percent of team snaps. In three career starts, Reynolds has made the best of his limited opportunities, turning in 8/98/3 (on 12 targets). He'll be on the WR4 radar in Week 11 against Kansas City if Kupp is indeed out.
