Week 5 Fantasy Waiver Wire
Need to improve your fantasy football roster? NFL.com Fantasy has you covered. Each week, we'll offer up 10 players you need to target off the waiver wire in your ultimate quest to take home a fantasy league championship!

Bell was listed in this space last week, but he's still available in a ton of NFL.com leagues. That shouldn't be the case after his huge performance against the Minnesota Vikings. Bell rushed for just 57 yards, but he found the end zone twice and scored an impressive 20.40 fantasy points. The Steelers are on a bye this week, but Bell needs to be added.

The bye weeks have started around the National Football League, and Rivers could turn into a tremendous replacement for owners who need a quarterback. He goes up against a questionable Oakland Raiders defense in Week 5, a beatable Indianapolis Colts defense in Week 6 and a vulnerable Jacksonville Jaguars unit in Week 7. Rivers is a terrific addition right now.

One of the most talented young wideouts in the league, Blackmon will be eligible to return from suspension against the St. Louis Rams. So for those fantasy owners who need some help at the position moving forward, it's a good idea to grab him off the waiver wire. He is almost certain to be one of the most-added players in fantasy land heading into Week 5.

Let me know if you have heard this before -- Darren McFadden is hurt. He suffered a hamstring ailment against the Washington Redskins and was unable to return, meaning we could see Jennings take over in the backfield. With Marcel Reece (knee) also banged up, there aren't a lot of other options for the Raiders (or fantasy owners) to consider from the Silver and Black.

Miller was one of the five best tight ends in the league based on fantasy points last season, but a major knee ailment that resulted in a surgical procedure kept him from being drafted in a lot of leagues. He's back at 100 percent now, though, and has shown flashes of his 2012 brilliance. Against the Minnesota Vikings, Miller posted six receptions and 70 yards.

Fleener, a sleeper on NFL.com for Week 4, made good for fantasy owners with 77 yards, one touchdown and 13.70 points. With Dewayne Allen out for the season, the Stanford product should now be considered at least a low-end No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues. Fleener has a tough matchup coming against the Seattle Seahawks, but he should still be added this week.

Reece, who was one of the hottest waiver-wire pickups of 2012, is back on the radar heading into Week 6. Reece might be called on to carry the mail Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, with Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings injured and likely questionable for the game. In a best-case scenario, Reece will have flex-starter value in this tough AFC West matchup.

Yes, there is an Austin in St. Louis who is hot right now, and it's not Tavon -- it's Pettis. Pettis found the end zone twice in a win over the Jaguars and has scored at least 10 fantasy points in each of his last four games for owners in PPR formats. At the very least, he's worth a roster spot in such formats. Next on the slate, Pettis faces the Houston Texans.

Rashard Mendenhall remains the starter in Arizona, but Ellington is heavily in the mix. In fact, the rookie caught four passes and recorded 83 scrimmage yards in a win over the Carolina Panthers. Ellington, who averaged an impressive 7.4 yards per carry in the contest, has added value in all PPR formats. Next up, Ellington goes up against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Allen has seen a more prominent role in the Chargers' pass attack in recent weeks, posting a combined 195 yards with one touchdown in his last two games. That includes an impressive 17.50-fantasy point performance against the Raiders on Sunday night. With Malcom Floyd out for the season and Eddie Royal's numbers slipping fast, the rookie should be owned in most leagues.
